Rattlesnake bites are painful, could be deadly but the single biggest reason to avoid them — the 50-100K+ or more (see internet) hospital cost if you need anti-venom. Here in Michigan, the Eastern Mississauga is protected (but the DNR can’t be everywhere).

Don’t know about the rest of the country, but I can beat even the sale prices everyday @ Dollar General & Sam’s Club in Michigan. Chlorox wipes 5 - 75ct packages 12$ @ Sam’s Club, Select-Size paper towels are 6 pack for 3.95$ @ Dollar General and so on.. While Amazon is convenient it’s rarely ever cheaper.
