My grandpa taught me to tie Palomar knot’s 50 years ago... when I started fishing. It’s never failed me. I used to use DoubleUni w/a couple of half-hitches to join braid to flurocarbon, but switched to an Alberto Knot a couple of years ago (easier to tie).

Let them know, if they are really friends, it won’t matter, if they aren’t real friends — they don’t matter. Simple as that.

You don’t realize it but it’s basically a dishwasher that is used to clean electronics after assembly. As a former supervisor in the electronics industry I can assure you — water cleaning was a standard method. I’ve been out of this for 15 years or more, but I suspect it’s still basically the same.

But being able to build or fix anything, cast metal, tan hides, preserve food, reload, hunt, fish, hit what I am aiming at... all while not panicking because the power is out.. in addition to writing to the point internet comments, well it’s better than being a one trick pony like most.

Study the salmon problems in the northwest.. They planted so many salmon that by shear numbers they have squeezed out the stronger wild salmon. But the problem is the salmon they planted are too weak to make it to the sea, grow and return. They removed natural selection.
