As a recreational mathematician, I was bugged that Holt kept on referring to Nikolaj’s scribble as “the absolute value of psi”. The pitchfork shape was actually psi, but the two curved lines would have needed to be straight if they were supposed to mean “absolute value”.

I was driving cross country and passed through a small town in Utah (I don’t remember the name). There was a diner that looked good, so I stopped for a meal. One of the desserts in the menu was “Pie a la”.

I binged season 1 all at once and liked it ok. I’m watching this season as it unfolds and it’s SO MUCH BETTER! This episode sold me on the series in a way I hadn’t been sold before.

OK, maybe this is just because I have no idea how fantasy sports drafts work, but why do I have to choose one person’s entire set of options, when one or two of them are excellent and one or two of them are crap? Why can’t we pick our favorite ingredients from multiple “slates”?
