I’m an American who’s lived in Uganda for the last ten years, and in Africa, Internet packages are super-expensive ($150/90GB/month in Uganda) so large-scale streaming isn’t practical. In general, I’m an Open Source (Linux) and Open Content guy, but I believe that each artist has the right to choose whether or not

Reminds me of my favorite this will shut them up argument to use when hetereosexuals claim that being gay is a choice. I’ll argue back that they should try choosing to be gay for a week, and see how that works for them.

I had one of their sandwiches, once. I knew about their anti-LGBTQ stance but was still curious, and I don’t live near one, so when I passed a Chic-Fil-A once on a long drive I thought “no harm in trying it one time.”

And frankly, I don’t get it. The chicken was dry and the sandwich unremarkable. If I pass that way

I hadn’t seen the original before watching this (though it had been on my list for awhile). When I saw the DocNow version, I went *right* from it to the original. As of now I’m six episodes in... it’s good but feels overlong, and I probably would have been just as happy just watching the satire.

> It would be awfully difficult to dispute the claim that The Beatles are the most famous band in the history of pop music

I dispute that claim, and it’s not that hard. I’m from the US but live in Uganda, and I’ve yet to meet a single Ugandan who’s familiar with the Beatles. They know some of their songs (Let It Be, to

I will happily stand with you on that hill.

With Extra Lobster: I live in Uganda and many of the streets are lined with roadside stalls that sell BBQ chicken. If you know to ask for the special chicken, they’ll often sell you weed. Special Chicken has become my favorite euphemism for weed.

This changes for me year to year, but lately I’ve been obsessed with Hudsucker Proxy. The dialog is fantastic, the reveal of the meaning of Tim Robbin’s circle halfway through the movie is perfectly set up, and the use of music to accentuate points at just the right time is unparalleled.

I’m starting to believe that

I’m starting to believe that

I’ve been doing this for years, and was hoping when I read the headline that this was going to be scheme discussed! I have a few modifications to suggest:

* Don’t worry so much about route as category. Fresh meat, dairy, canned goods, juices, cleaning items, etc would all be their own categories. The advantage of this

Is it just me, or does Roger Stone look exactly like an older version of Nick Sandmann (the Covington kid)? Their faces have the same shape and the same lack of wrinkles (understandable in Sandmann’s case; more plastic-surgery-spooky in Stone’s).
