I went to Connecticut College although I graduated about 20 years after Spicer. While I did know some republicans there, it has to be one of the 50 most liberal schools in the country (it was probably even more liberal back in the early 1990s). How someone like Sean Spicer came from there I will never understand.

Always tilting to me: It’s “One World Trade Center”. They dropped the “Freedom Tower” name in 2009 before it even opened.

There is a very easy explanation for it:

People think this is a 5 point race right now? 538 has it as a 2 point race and RCP has it as a 1 point race. People need to realize this is more or less a toss up at this point.

Very true. What the Ethiopian Ayana did in the 10K was amazing even if it was tainted. I’m actually not super against PEDs in general but America seems so in love with the Jamaican team (and the Americans who have been caught cheating as well for that matter) yet so hateful of all things PED that it baffles me that

When there are millions of dollars at stake that is completely possible. Remember they’ve had many athletes be suspended for PEDs. I don’t think it’s Russian level but most of the great athletes train under MVP (except for Bolt I believe but I’m not positive), making it much easier to cheat the system through just one

My only argument to that is that Jamaicans should have been historically great at track and before 2004 they weren't. 2 gold medals over 50 years.

Can anyone explain to me how a nation of 2.8M who had 2 gold medals from 1954-2000 all of a sudden has the best individual male and female sprinters nearly every year? And how Elaine Thompson goes from not running sub-12 in high school (there’s ~300 high school Americans who do that every year) to being the world’s

They win the swimming championship every year so it makes sense they'd eventually be good at running.

The second a team does a short high kickoff on purpose and a team returns it for 50 yards and the announcers say “that’s why you always go for a touchback” there will be backlash to the coach. As we have seen for years coaches do everything they can to avoid backlash, even by doing the “safe” move over the “correct”
