That's a fairish point (at least, as fair it can be, when we only have two data points). I just think there should be a clear distinction between bad writing choices and sexism.

I agree with that, for sure. She was fine in the pilot, but since then she's taken a hard turn towards the ungood. I just don't think it's necessarily motivated by sexism or misogyny; I think it's likelier to just be bad writing and a desperate need for an editor.

My guess is that Sorkin got tired of being accused of manufacturing scenarios that obviously favored his side of an argument (as was so often the case in criticisms of The West Wing), so he went

I haven't seen this episode yet, but I will say that simply having Hipster Ariel say something doesn't make it invalid.
