It co-starred Kirstie Alley, who for some reason got no mention in the article, just months before her debut on “Cheers”. She was terrific in both roles.

The story (from Perrette) is that Harmon brought his dog to set, and it attacked a crew member, who needed stitches from whatever injuries he sustained. Harmon didn’t think it was a big deal and continued to bring the dog, which Perrette took exception to, and she reported it to higher ups.
And then Mr Shoop went on to head a very accomplished NCIS team.
For awhile there I was into writing polite but firm letters to companies trying to get free stuff. I got a pretty big box of Pop Tarts once.
Mark Harmon— the poor man’s Kevin Costner.
Bob coming back always makes my cry
Poor SoCal ladies with their unaccomplished beaus. As for me, I *only* date men who are able to run successful brothels while their parents are out of town.
I haven’t seen this movie in twenty years but one scene I do remember a scene when Shoop agrees to show Texas Chainsaw Massacre in class as a deal to Chainsaw and Dave. The movie is playing when the vice-principal walks in.
In the 80s movies of my youth:
No mention of Patrick Labyorteaux, who was later coronated as 80s movie royalty by portraying “Ram” in Heathers?
The bit that sticks with me is the one student that spends all his time on the toilet. Pretty sure that he got the highest marks, right?
Yo I saw this film on Netflix many moons ago and this is one of my favourite films of all time because it introduced me to my favourite actor of all time Dean Friggin’ Cameron.
It’s all Facebook today, but the same effect.
I haven’t seen this film in years, but I remember it as being good-natured fun and full of appealing characters, along with some funny bits that have stuck with me, such as when Harmon discovers that the reason one of his students keeps falling asleep in class is because he’s moonlighting as a Chippendales-type…
I get that it’s good comic relief but making Luther (and sometimes Diego) just so damn dumb is way different than the comics. On the show it makes no sense that Reginald would’ve chosen Luther to lead the team. In the comics he’s and intelligent and tactical leader (though a bit of an asshole). Comics Diego is an…
Dean Cameron was the unsung hero of many an 80's and 90's comedy. I remember seeing Ski School when I was 15 and thinking it was hilarious, and I refuse to rewatch it to have that memory ruined.
David Castañeda is a stealth MVP for me this season. Five’s actor is the strongest of the bunch, by far, but God, Castañeda makes Diego into something more than a Batman-wannabe. (He would make an excellent Jason Todd. Somebody cast him as Jason Todd. He could breathe such life into that role.)
Was just going to say how much I also liked Elliot as an ally to the team, and I was worried something might happen to him. Poor fella
The way he just started sinking lower and lower in his seat during Reginald’s whole mocking speech – ouch.
When Diego stuttered I cried. So much pain in such a small action.
