i hated Voyager. i loved Deep Space 9 and i have mixed feelings about the Next Gen movies and the Enterprise show.

i never claimed the show was deep. it generally only explored these issues at an elementary level but those issues were always there. just because it wasnt making deep insights into the human condition doesnt mean those elements were worth removing (since they were integral to the overall experience).

if you thought Star Trek was stale you probably were never a fan of what made Star Trek, well, Star Trek. because the JJ version definitely has abandoned what made the show unique.

Yeah, that is one really big difference. I don't care what the quality of the game is; I'm going to be less inclined to buy it if I know it's going to be tied to a single system.

what country do you live in? in the US its illegal for record companies to pay radio stations to play songs. its called payolla when they do so despite the law. there are a few ways around it but its still something record companies are not supposed to do under US law.

the real problem for gamers isnt how this affects the industry (well it is but thats more or less in direct). the real problem for gamers is that this means games are no longer being made for gamers, they are being made for reviewers.
