me too. me too. i am glad you got a chance to play SS2. im playing through it too. i still like Bioshock but its clear it lacks so much from its predecessor. and its not like SS2 was a perfect game. there was plenty of room for improvement (for instance the psi powers are a pain to switch). it just didnt feel Bioshock

ah. i take you didnt look at the second link i sent you. the player is manipulated in the exact same way in System Shock 2 with the same sort of reveal. i thought it was insightful the first time. the second time i thought it was lazy and uninspired.

technically the game still doesnt stand on its own since not knowing matter its a sequel/successor or not has no impact whether it is a sequel or not.

and people said i was foolish for saying all this ebegging was going to get out of hand. but now that people have seen you can get large sums of cash out of its just going to get worse. Kickstarter really needs to step in in instances like this. people are testing the waters and seeing what works and what they can get

if you loved it more power to you. im glad people enjoyed it. i dont get what you mean by "isnt that enough?" where everyone starts and stops is entirely up to them. i dont think there is a criterion to decide otherwise. however, i disagree with your point that good/bad is subjective. good/bad has an element of

it may sound like im mad but im not. i was just disappointed. i really really wanted to love Bioshock being a fan of SS2. you just caught me on a day where i had a lot of free time on my hands heh

invalid comparision. first it assumes Bioshock added when in fact it subtracted. a more apt comparison would be.

it may just be a good movie if you havent seen the other films. that was my point (though for the record that film actually was lauded by critics surprisingly before release and fans tore it to shreds). Bioshock was far from a great game and i was aware of this fact largely because id played System Shock 2 before

by that logic, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is a great movie as long as you watch it before the originals.

so? that doesnt make the game any better. ignorance on a subject has no bearing on its quality, just its perceived quality. so while some people may think Bioshock was the greatest thing since sliced bread, you can clearly show, its lost a lot since its previous incarnation and that the story is extremely derivative

Bioshock was a just a watered down System Shock 2. they even have essentially the same plot twist.

so i see no mention of how easy it is. Bioshock was embarrassingly easy.

many of these things COULD and SHOULD be patched on the PC version.

the reason Evil Dead HttK sucked had nothing to do with the chainsaw fuel. the combat was pretty much broken. in fact, ive skimmed over the first few major reviews i could find and none have mentioned the chain saw fuel. instead all mention the terrible combat system. and one thing that should be pointed out was the

offline play. a feature that should have been in the PC version.

funny and true!

suspension of disbelief isnt a magic wand that makes every poor plot device go away. it has limitations. the game set itself up to be a serious murder mystery. the level of suspension of disbelief you are describing is for things like kids cartoons (where they do actually use plot elements like the glasses). theres no

nice false choice there

id like to point out there are some major design flaws, like holding R2 to move your character.
