i hear that. also not resorting to silly cliches and stupid plot devices. but i wont say that his "games" are all bad. there are clearly some good ideas in there. its just i cant forgive all the bad ideas just because there are some good ones.

oh god i failed! what do i do now?
but the only way to experience a deep, rich story is through QTEs!!!!!!
no i wasnt trying to be a dick. im not very good at conveying some things on the internet. chalk it up to a silly intercommunication. XD
notice how that doesnt answer my question since i was looking for a clarification of this part.
can anyone who has this game answer me if the DOS versions of the game comes with all the addons? i already own the atomic edition but this might be worth getting just for the addons to use in eduke32.
no it wasnt. Ahhhh Real Monsters was a lot more tame. it was dark but not so much disturbing (at least not on the same level as Zim). all cartoons have questionable content too. the big difference is it was very regular in Zim. also last i checked Real Monsters wasnt canned because of its content.
lol at Invader Zim being a kids show. the big reason it was canceled was the show was deemed too mature for its audience. Invader Zim, much like Ren and Stimpy, can be enjoyed by kids but its dark and often disturbing subject matter is something most parents would agree is better aimed at an older audience. i mean…
while im sure this started out well intentioned it gives publishers far too much power over the press. its a really bad system in practice.
i love the way when an issue like gun violence is brought up the comments start popping up littered with fallacies below the article (not all but there are a lot). and by love i mean hate. why do some people not know how to think rationally?! or do they know how to think rationally but choose not to? or do they know…
ahem. Nintendo has actually made some really innovative games that rely solely on the touch screen for controls and no virtual joysticks (though Nintendo has used virtual joysticks in some games like Mario 64 DS)
its also funny because many games require you to cover up the action on the touch screen because you have to touch it. its one of the things they criticized in the article.
say what you will about the awful CDi games but Nintendo should take their one good idea (letting Zelda save Link) and use it in a game of their own.
considering the first one devolved into jet pack and other nonsense, i dont have high expectations for this one. still wasnt expecting Jum Carrey in this one.
lol. no i understand what left and right politics are. i just misunderstood that you were including Bioshock 2 since the first game just explores the Randian Utopia.
oh i see what you mean. i didnt really count the message of two since it wasnt what Irrational was trying to convey and also didnt really mesh too well with the originals theme since Rapture was never in any position to become bipolar. it also felt more like lipservice than actual critique. still Bioshock 2 did had…
left vs right?
America The Beautiful
sadly they probably will, which is funny considering Irrational Games has always seemed to prefer lambasting their games' messages without the slightest ounce of subtlety. not to say thats a bad thing. some messages work better blunt and somewhat ham-fisted. it also accentuates the humor in their games.
