yeah i thought that too. i mean Columbia is featured in lots of important things in the US. surely people have at least noticed she pops up every now and then and wondered why. shes kind of a weird tie to our strange pagan roots. Columbia is our goddess of liberty. its very fitting that Bioshock would explore this

its funny because that particular symbol has been twisted and misused so much over the years that most people have become ignorant to the real confederate flags. so when people display that flag they are not only being culturally insensitive, they are also highlighting their own ignorance of history.

is it supposed to be so choppy? i had to stop watching cause it was giving me a headache.

remember the days when a game looked and played better on the PC, the PC still got that version upon release day?

i have less problem with preorder schemes like this one than i have with "season passes" for DLC. fundamentally they are both the same thing. but the core game is usually more satisfying than all the DLC combined. the core game also provides a much better cost to content ratio than all the DLC. even with a minor

actually the days of pre-release reviews are coming to an end. there are many games that have review embargoes up to release and even have restrictions on what the press is allowed to say about said games before release.

think of it this way. what do you use to navigate on a laptop? or better yet, when you are on a PC do you prefer to use the arrow keys to navigate or the mouse?

i agree that its highly unlikely Sony will be able to sell it for $299, but i do agree with the article that that should be the price they should be shooting for. they may not be able to reach but they should get as close as they can.

im not bothered by Uplay. I got Driver on it when it was on sale for a $1 and have used it off and on since then. from what i can tell its a little above adequate and a has a few neat features. I don't mind having it on my computer and would probably buy games on it if i can get a better deal than elsewhere.

lol i never knew that and i own the game. thanks.

i just meant blowing into the mic. i tend to miss double meanings. why do you blow into the mic in Mario Kart DS? i dont remember that one. i just thought Super Princess Peach had fun use of the mic, better than most other games, so i remember it more than others. i thought it was a fun game, just not the best example

i havent seen what you are talking about but DW Griffith did silent movies. but regardless, you are right. even if he was talking about pre-Griffith films, hes still incorrect.

well even in the very early days of films lighting was discovered to have an important impact. i think the first noteworthy film maker to understand this was DW Griffith unless you mean the earliest of days of film.

Steam was doing social integration before the Wii U.

ive played the game start to finish too. doesnt change the fact its full of terrible stereotypes. spoiler alert you have to blow into the mic in some levels. those were my favorite.

im not sure if you are serious or not. you are aware thats a game where Peach saves the day because shes an overly emotional woman, right?

there are a few platformers in first person. but platformers are fairly rare these days. there are tons of games with platforming in first person. just because its awkward to some doesnt mean its awkward to all.

to be fair, Half Life does have a good deal of platforming even though its an FPS.

he said lighting was not as important? really?! thats insane. lighting is incredibly important to establishing mood. theres even an entire genre dedicated to it in films (film noir).
