here you go. it was only a few posts below yours. id also like to point out Windows 8 has a desktop. you dont have to use Metro unless you wanna search for programs cause its nothing more than a Start Menu.

you clearly havent seen all the videos floating around of people using Windows 8 on multiple monitors. theres one posted down below if you search through the comments. it shows a guy playing two games at once and using the metro snapped to the side to play music and other things.

more FUD on Kotaku. Windows 8 is faster. faster is better for games. you dont use the Windows interface INSIDE the game. Windows 8 may be bad for most people but its not bad for gamers.
