i meant Task Manager (which is more important).

what does the Start menu do? you can search for programs and mess around in your control panel and turn off your machine. thats what Metro does. heres an interesting article that elaborates further on it: http://www.techspot.com/article/554-windows-8-start-menu-is-irrelevant/

i take it youve never used Windows 7 cause thats what it essentially is.

actually Metro is the start menu. it even says "Start" if you look at it. it has the same functionality. it just takes up full screen and can do more. you are confusing the fact that it has apps which can run on tablets with the fact that its a Start menu.

that isnt true at all. theyve made Windows 8 faster and given it a lot of new non Metro features (like an improved task bar and a built in improved version of MSE).

thats a gross oversimplification of what happened. also they never said it wouldnt be pretty. shortly before the game was released they said they had a hard time on the project because they had no experience. they didnt state it from the get-go.

yeah that was a huge red flag. im glad i waited. im not going to pay more just to fix what they should have in the first place.

because they do a shit job?

someone just listens to the FUD. Windows 8 is still Windows. a quick google to prove you wrong.

nice ad homenim. that just proves you really didnt have a point, much less a rebuttal.

is that why their online multiplayer and shops are so far behind everyone else? last i checked they havent even established a unified account system. like it or not but all those things are connected. you cannot boost the social aspect and ignore the others. this is laughable too because it seems like every company is

Nintendo still doesnt understand the internet. they have lagged behind every gaming company in that one area for years. how in gods name do they really expect to be able to pull off something like Facebook? it sounds a bit like shooting for the moon without first inventing rockets.

looks like a green Life Saver to me.

yeah thats called a synecdoche. youre referring to the part as the whole. they arent actually interchangeable, only related. in this context, a synecdoche doesnt really work because as i pointed out many people are unclear over the real issue. it also doesnt directly answer the question that was originally set up to

sigh

they industry still didnt make more. employee base pay may have been higher but games werent anywhere near as popular as they are today.

carts were really expensive compared to discs and disks (Nintendo experimented with the latter on the Famicom). its just N64 carts were even more expensive.

they didnt make as much money. the carts were much more expensive to manufacture (something this picture forgot to include) and games didnt sell as well due to the audience being smaller.

yeah, the parts werent just expensive, they were really expensive. its one reason you could buy N64 games for about the price of two PS1 games back then.

you misunderstand what i said. i have another post in this story that elaborates more what i mean.
