This story is a racist outrage and totally fucked-up. The U.S. prison system is a racist outrage and totally fucked-up, and it always has been. The percentage of incarcerated Black people to White people is overtly unbalanced. But let’s take a step back from any fantasies that there are no White women in U.S. prisons.

Gears 5, The Last of Us 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, Control, A Plague Tale, Hellblade 2.... All have female protagonists that very much had marketing pushes. I can go on and on. I didn’t even mention any of the hyper sexualized ones like Nier: Automata.

They saved the movies, but ruined cinema.

One other point: unemployment isn’t a complete replacement for wages; it’s only partial.

In other news, desperate people line up to smell a fresh pile of shit because it got them out of the house.

I’d go with June 25, 1982: “Blade Runner” and John Carpenter’s “The Thing.” (June 20, 1980, is a close-but-not-really second with “The Blues Brothers” and, gulp, “Can’t Stop the Music.”)

God, I’ll always remember leaving the theater that day and you could just feel the excitement in the air. It was such a mindblowing experience watching Smokey and the Bandit for the first time.

People said this brilliant film was a two-man show, but I insist Defoe’s digestive system deserved its own billing.

I would kill to see a manga-ized Willem Dafoe yelling “LET NEPTUNE STRIKE YE DEAD WINSLOW”

It’s not hard to flag things as build to dev or prod, plus Sony had to have passed it through QA.

But, you see, the original was the Monster Energy Cut!

The fact that Death Stranding, the most unfiltered Kojima experience to ever Kojima, is getting a “Director’s Cut” is honestly hilarious.

Terrible format, unreadable on mobile.

ALL marriages require patience. I was married to my husband for 41 years right up til his dying day. Lots and lots of patience needed, especially when he got dementia and cancer.

All accounts of Chip point to someone that believed in his wife and supported her to create an empire. But sure, who would want a husband like that?

Yeah, the whole ‘it’s a Vietnam allegory’ part definitely gets overlooked, but let’s face it: videogames in particular tend to take a ‘let’s completely strip the subtext out of something’ approach. (I want to say at one point there was actually a Fight Club video game that was... basically just that one ‘wouldn’t a

I had metastatic testicular cancer about 10 years ago, which resulted in a surgical scar from my pelvis to my sternum. I beat the cancer, and contemplated a decoration for a couple years. For some reason, a working lunch turned down this road, and I told my boss at the time that I was going to get an alien tattooed,

My dad read a study that said kids who take up a musical instrument are better at math. So he signed me up for violin. He never told me so when I failed to show up, the orchestra teacher, a strange man I’d never met, got me out of class and told me to come with him. I was terrified.

I’m so sorry that your childhood was so deprived you were lead to believe Tootsie Rolls are actually candy.

Although no one likes to admit it, lying - including white lies and lies by omission - are a vital survival tool and social lubricant. I’m not saying that lying is right, just that it is sometimes necessary.
