You understand all too well why Tesla will likely never franchise stores. This is going to sound strange but I (a man whose entire career has been spent in retail automotive) want the franchise laws to die immediately.

You are 100% correct. The RAV4 is handily outselling the Prius in the North American market. I have seen hundreds of current Prius owners and leasees switch to the RAV4 because... crossover (Yeah!). The next most popular is the Camry Hybrid that has more room. I am happy they are buying vehicles with higher MSRP's and

A B auto licence SHOULD be a mark of shame but here in the states almost no one knows how to drive a manual transmission anymore. I manage several dealerships and at all of our service department lanes the teenie boppers we employ to check in customer cars must A) Pop the hood and B) Roll down the driver’s window so

I am seriously looking forward to this season of WSCC. Mazda Team Joest was not playing last year with three wins in a row.

The fact that his regime killed the iDX requires a long prison sentence where he turns big rocks into little rocks.

It just gets worse... The interior missed the mark, too.

Wow, let me be the first to say awesome review and thank you both for writing this. I am seriously excited for the upcoming F1 and IndyCar seasons. Not to mention Formula E. Happy New Year!

You are so NOT wrong. Autoweek thought so too...

In my humble opinion it looked far better in it’s original black and red color scheme.

Yeah, I’m sure the projects on the show weren’t his best work just due to the time and budget constraints. But the actual customer cars Chip Foose Design produce are second to none. I don’t think they would go through the trouble of elevating the car to show the chassis if it was “hack” work...

I’d like to know how most of those ‘pimped’ rides look today. I’m pretty sure they have not aged well. Now Overhaulin’ was a different beast. I’d watch Chip Foose sketch rocks on TV if you had the right music.

The Gladiator has a separate cargo box whereas the Avalanche used as it’s basis a Suburban bodyshell with the rear portion of the roof removed.

As a former Marylander (and motorcyclist) I’m shocked you’d want to lane split in a state with some of the most inattentive and dangerous drivers I’ve ever seen. I don’t trust any Maryland drivers to pay attention and stay in their lane. I don’t care if it’s 695, 95 or 495...

Thank you and Jalopnik for keeping the Takata recall fiasco visible on the blog. We’re years into this process and consumers are still driving around with defective timebombs just inches from their faces. The next phase of lawsuits is just getting spooled up. Several tort attorneys are gathering evidence that the

1st & 3rd Gear: The bad news: Nissan is going to be a dumpster fire for quite some time. The good news: It’s too big to fail so it will survive even if they can’t get their act together.

Thank you Torch for having the balls to stand up to the leftist/communist/mass-transitist/car-hating libtards who want to ruin Honda Days for us real ‘muricans.

Nice. I did not know any of that and I still loved the design.

Yup, I’m intimately familiar with the GMT800 having owned two variants: Chevy Silverado and GMC Yukon Denali. Both were awesome and that’s why I opted for a 2018 Escalade as my current company car. But they weren't as revolutionary as the Hy-Wire concept.

I still think the VehiCross is an interesting crossover. It was different when almost every other mainstream car on sale was a differently sized beige appliance. I do believe the skateboard platform vehicle is just around the corner.

I’m in. Just let me know when it comes to the Northeast...
