I like your thinking. I’m 100% against undercover speed enforcement for my own selfish reasons but I did get a chuckle after finding out the cops in Montgomery County, MD used a ‘homeless man’ for distracted driving enforcement.

I’m thinking we should start a new and even more dangerous trend...

I don’t text and drive because I’m too stupid to both pilot a 3,000 lbs vehicle AND type on a small screen at the same time. My daily has a manual transmission with BMW iDrive.

He says that now. Then BMW will offer 26-inch wheels and Audi will just HAVE to go bigger.

Here in the U.S. General Motors produced absolutely horrible vehicles in the 1970's and 80's. For example, the J-platform was the basis for a bunch of poorly designed, shoddily constructed compact cars. (Cavalier/Cimmarron/Firenza/Sunbird/Skyhawk)

Here I go again back down the Peter Wherrett rabbit hole. Lol. I really like this series. Keep em coming. I’ve been meaning to order one of his books.

They get bigger. The critical, gotta-have-it yesterday tractors are basically condos.

That’s what I was ogling. That is one purty Western...

So many great submissions. I’ll just add the P71 Police Interceptor. It has had a very long career.

Yeah, I thought those were really good looking for a smallish crossover. Saab could have survived if GM didn't slowly strangle them.

I really want an 08-09 Aero. If only they had offered the 6-speed manual with the LS2.

Is it wrong that I have a deep lust for the Saab 9-7X? It was the best GMT360 variant.

You would be surprised how many units we move in late December that are gifts. Usually it’s Dads and Husbands making little Bella/Ethan a very happy kid or shutting up the wife for a week. But my favorite car as a gift story was in 2015.

Totally agree. I’d be thrilled to own most of the cars on the list. That second gen Celica Supra needs to be in my garage.

I grew up reading every auto magazine I could get my sweaty, little paws on. My gramps got me two subscriptions every Christmas: Motor Trend and Automobile. I still remember to this day cracking open the Detroit auto show edition of Automobile and seeing what I thought was the most special car ever... the Porsche

Ah, the ubiquitous Camry dent. I spotted this beauty on the way home yesterday...

I’ll both AGREE and DISAGREE with you. The Fiero was typical of malaise-era GM engineering which is to say very, very poor. On the other hand, to think that 80's General Motors not only conceived of a two-door, mid-engined sporty car but BUILT it is amazing. The amount of committees and management sign-offs had to be

Hey, we’ve all been there. I still love the boxy goodness of the 3rd gen Cressida.

Thanks!

I miss deadspin everyday. How many times have I mistakenly gone over there just to be greeted by the same damn page? What I mean by ‘we are Jalopnik’ is that Spanfeller can never touch the core that makes Jalopnik what it is.
