I wish the hundreds of fighting dogs I care for each year could visit the Guggenheim. While a very few are vicious beyond what can reasonably be managed, most of them are actually very sweet pups once they’ve gotten some non-abusive treatment and training.

Given the opportunity, many fighting dogs can be rehabilitated.

Just as it was illegal for Sarah Sanders to call for that ESPN chick’s firing, it’s illegal for Trump to call for the firing of a buncha sportsball guys. Shut this cocksucker up.

Get that useless ass Melania out of my city and out of my country. We don’t want her here. And of all the events she could have travelled for, the American Invictus athletes deserve a representative that is a hundred times better. At minimum, someone who has held a legitimate job, has integrity, values freedom and

Yes. I also think that if we really want to reduce incarceration rates we need to think outside the box. Ok we throw the mom in jail, does that rehabilitate her? Is he incapable of being rehabilitated because she was raised in an abusive household and in a culture where those things are condoned? Should she not get to

This is needed and so wonderful that it is happening. As an old guy who ate the free breakfasts that the BPP set up, I don’t believe you can find folk who grew up in Oakland during that time who don’t love/admire/respect the Panthers.

Thanks for the reply. And more importantly, thanks for volunteering to serve your community

I get ya. My young rescue dog had to ride an elevator for the first time a few weeks ago on our trip. Thankfully she’s obedient and got on, though she clearly wasn’t happy about it. Without luggage we took the stairs. If you’re ever in West Monroe, Louisiana, I recommend their La Quinta. When I stayed there were LOTS

I understand. I recently took a cross-country trip from Florida to Oklahoma with one of my dogs to visit my daughter and her husband. We ended up staying at a La Quinta for one night on the way up and on the way back. They are pet friendly but not as easy on the budget as Motel 6, unfortunately. When you travel with

Today, it was the Nosleep Podcast because that’s my cleaning podcast. It’s an anthology podcast of people reading stuff from the Nosleep subreddit. I also really love Darkest Night, which I found via Nosleep, but I’m all caught up on that one. Darkest Night is along the lines of Night Vale in the sense that it’s an

Yes. You and I would be able to catch bees in our bangs. Curly hair and fierce winds only work on Harlequin Romance Covers.

Exactly. And first off no worries. One of my closest besties has an intense ocean phobia. She’s super afraid of it and of course all the animals I like there ha. But it’s a phobia. You can’t control that. And though I love sharks and I’m super calm around them (and have legit shark friends who display recognition

Jesus Christ, what the fuck is this author’s problem with direct eye contact? It’s like every other culture other than white is like “Do not look them directly in the eye.”

I can’t help but think banning someone for having painted a single controversial work is a bit much.

Yep, and it’s why I and a lot of others were so disappointed with the article a couple months back that Bobby wrote that took her to task for daring to have the audacity to deal with bigotry in the way that she saw fit.

The reason no one mentions the dead man’s crimes is that they are irrelevant to the way he was treated while in custody.

No. I realize we are all limited to our lived experience, but your experience here is not analogous with what this doctor did or what people commonly refer to as FGM.

From the entry on court names in my AP Stylebook (2013 edition, but I doubt this item has been updated since):

I truly wish there was a way for every Trump voter, and just them alone, to get the negative repercussions of his presidency. Like, oh you voted for Trump, yeahhhhhhh so we’re going to need you to get off Obamacare. Maybe sell your iphone to cover your medical care? But those of you who voted for HRC, can stay.

Indy was always based on the pulp comics and novels of the time. In the 40s it would be decking Nazis. In the 50s it would be sci-fi. I didn’t love it but that part never bothered me.
