I wish it was, it would be way funnier that way. :'(

I hate to tell ya, Mark, but that's definitely not a horse erection. They let it all hang out like that when they're relaxed or right before/after they pee. It's dropped but not erect.
I noticed the same trend when I worked as a caregiver for developmentally disabled people, especially with the older ones whose parents were deceased. Their sisters tended to spend a lot more time with them than their brothers did and took a much more active interest in their lives.
That part about Europe has me convinced that he knows exactly what he is doing and is being intentionally absurd. I refuse to believe that anyone is so obtuse that they'd brag about their European tastes in the midst of a review of Burger King.
http://www.patheos.com/blogs/lovejoyf… and http://www.patheos.com/blogs/nolonger… are two pretty good resources if you want to approach it from a sensible perspective. ;) Both are written by people who used to belong to the movement. The blogger at Love, Joy, Feminism is an atheist now IIRC, and No Longer Quivering is…
Does it matter how many there are?
If you want to go down the rabbit hole, Google "Christian patriarchy movement." It is seriously frightening stuff. It's part of what the Duggars follow, although not all CPM families are Quiverfull (the Duggars claim that they aren't, but, well, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...).
Sometimes I think it's more common for people to make mistakes on easy climbs. You get lazy or you push yourself to go faster/farther than you should and then you make mistakes. That's just personal observation though and might be my own bias showing.
Climbing without ropes is definitely a thing. I think most climbers I know have done short pitches without ropes when they probably should have used them (I know I have), and free soloing has always had a number of devotees, but I don't think it's terribly common.
I think you are exactly right about that.
That was pretty much my reaction as I was reading it. I was okay until the part about the tea but just imagining that is making me feel a little sick.
I keep being surprised by him because I wasn't such a fan of him on The Daily Show, but everything I've seen of his new show is great.
I just wonder how they have time for it all. Spending time with multiple partners plus having non-sexual friends and making time for family on top of work and hobbies just sounds exhausting to me.
Even if it hadn't been swept under the rug, you know he wouldn't have gotten involved if it was a straight old white Republican.
Yeah, I don't have a problem with what you're talking about either. It's the whole "wedding night" aspect that creeps me out. Plus IIRC from Josh Duggar's wedding, it's less a conversation and more tape-recorded instructions that they played as they drove to the hotel. Although I really hope I am remembering that…
Well that's obviously impossible because God wants you to have good sex with your spouse and your parents give you instruction on how right before the honeymoon.
I think you underestimate the crazy of Quiverfull folks. The kids are always chaperoned when together before marriage to keep them "accountable."
I hadn't heard she got her job back. That's good news too. I really hope things are turning around for her.
I read that too, but I can't find the source right now. I'm pretty sure that FPD isn't going to be doing the investigations after this, though.
No problem. I knew watching reruns of that show a million times each would come in handy some day. ;)
