It’s actually kinda funny that Amazon went from “We’re gonna develop our own games and publish them on our own PC platform and even create our own game engine” to “Okay, well, we’ll publish PC games that were already successful in other countries on the Amazon Games platform but they’ll still be exclusives” to “Okay,

Seriously, I found literally every Tomb Raider game before it to be unplayable. The new trilogy, and the first one in particular, ruled.

it looks like this follow-up could break the record for gaps between entries in the franchise. The last longest was between the close of the series’ best trilogy (fight me), 2008's Underworld, and one of its worst entries, the awful, stupidly named 2013 reboot, Tomb Raider. I predict we’ll see this announced for

Golly, making him take over someone’s body was such a weird choice. And they focused on it just enough to make the audience ask weird questions and then didn’t bother answering them.

Gadot should be recast.

The Flash (and its star) better be toast. If Wonder Woman is gone, that travesty better be gone too.

Everything doesn’t have to be a trilogy.

Remember when Kristen Wiig’s character has the power to be anything she wants to, only limited to her imagination, and she can choose to be a literal god, an indestructible being of unlimited power, and she chooses to be an actual cat, and how that wasn’t even the worst thing about the movie?

Reboot it with a WW that doesn’t ignore the Palestinian oppression by Israel.

Question. Why is Kotaku taking a critical stance against the MSFT acquisition? The general tone of articles lately have been critical of Microsoft, but there has been no article explaining this view. I want to know what the basis of this stance is. What are the problems inherent w/ MSFT buying Act+Blizz?

I've always wanted to shoot Mario in the ass SO LET'SA GOOOO

1 game in the past 10 years, and it was 9 years ago. No COD games for switch, which is in the back half of its lifespan.

Even when they released games for nintendo they were relatively infrequent, and often modified or unique titles, dumbed down.

COD on nintendo is not the norm, and frankly not a thing in the past

Yup. I hate Ted Cruz as much as anyone, and surely his parenting and being such a huge and divisive public figure have a lot to do with this young woman’s suffering. But also - she’s 14 and she did not run for public office, so can we not breathlessly cover this? I know we all want to own Ted Cruz, but let’s not do it

Teenage years suck and the added notoriety of being Cruz’s daughter probably makes navigating society a bit harder than it should be. An event like this being plastered over the Internet gives another weapon for people to attack a young woman who has little control over why she’s so notable.

Game Pass kicks ass.  It is the future of gaming.  The only way to really compete is, like various streaming services, to have Game Pass alternatives that provide similar functionality.

They were CoDs on Gamecube, Wii, WiiU, and NDS. It’s not like Call of Duty on a Nintendo platform is some new, unheard-of thing.

I don’t think the regulators cared until Sony started throwing a tantrum that they might lose CoD.

Why the hell would the regulators care much about this merger? Not like MS is the only game in town neither is Activision. Are they going to go after the likes of Nintendo now since Zelda isn’t on other platforms?

If Microsoft wants to fend off Antitrust complaints by putting games from first party studios on Nintendo consoles, I am going to be right up front and say that I 100% want to play Fallout: New Vegas on the Switch.

federal regulators arent familiar with the gaming landscape. and journalists arent businessmen.
