I tend to browse instructables.com quite a bit, and I’m always surprised how many capable people/designs I come across. I always think - if that were me, I’d be selling that...rather than simply showing others how to make it.

That’s a good point. Many trades are probably being learned less and less now that everyone is going to college and so involved and familiar with technology.

This (well...something similar, since this is quite extreme) is one of my big machine-related fears. I worry that I’ll make a modification or change on my car/bike/etc. that is just enough to qualify as ‘the wrong way to do it’ and I’ll ruin the whole damn thing.

That’s encouraging. I’m 30, been employed full time since college, but I’ve always been unsatisfied with my work. I’m a lifelong woodworker/metalworker and have always dreamed of being self-employed and creating/restoring furniture/accessories.

What is the likelihood of someone making a decent living from woodworking? Not a “I’m making 6 figures” living, but a comfortable living wage.

The Mask!

Am I missing something? That’s definitely not Streets of Fire.

I once bought one of those “magic” little worms they play with at the mall kiosks. Turns out it’s just a dumb pipe-cleaner attached to fishing line.

I’ve lived in the midwest my entire life and I always thought FWD was fine for the winter (besides the one winter I had a 4x4 Durango - which was a lot of fun).

We need more Pee-wee Herman references in everyday life.

The exact reason for my dadbod:

Not in production any more, but my first bike was a Buell Blast.

There are so many games on Steam that are in the ‘early access’ stage that I’d like to get, but just can’t bring myself to buy. I wait and wait for the full version to be released, but they never seem to come.

Looks like some wonderful fusion of ‘Captain Toad Treasure Tracker’ and ‘Running with Rifles.’

Homage AND convenience?
