The only skin in the game I have is that I’m an actuary whose actual job it is to evaluate the claim consequences of medication that’s covered in insurance contracts.

It doesn’t affect it in the slightest. If you seriously think that bill is going to pass, you’re an even bigger fool than you have shown yourself thus far.
If birth control pills become OTC, the chance of them being covered under affordable insurance plans are practically zero.
I said OTC affects insurance coverage, not eligibility. Have fun paying out of pocket!
Yes, I’m super jealous that an overpaid bimbo gets $250K a year for hobnobbing with celebrities while the people in clinics who actually do the work get paid peanuts by comparison.
They’ve been cut off from funding in several states, and don’t make money from just referrals. How long do you think that’s going to last to pay Cecile’s $250K yearly salary?
Urea is the main nitrogen-containing compound in human urine, and the main ingredient in the lotion that works.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urea
It’s not my fucking job to educate you as to what good doctors are supposed to do before prescribing you birth control pills. If you have been going for 13 years and still haven’t bothered to do your research, that’s your problem.
This is fantastic; thanks to you and Duhigg for doing it!
If he wanted to do that, wouldn’t he have encouraged people to go to Mexico and then just not let them back into the country?
Trump tried to warn you, but you wouldn’t listen, amigo.
Sounds to me like you don’t know what they’re supposed to do. If the doctors you’re seeing actually do that, maybe you should consider more than cost in your choice of doctor.
Ethical doctors actually are supposed to do that. Standards of practice in Canada are for GPs to do that, not just hand over a prescription.
1/ Yes,people aren’t assigned a doctor at birth. That’s all the more reason to encourage people not to be shy/afraid of doctors and establish a relationship with a doctor as soon as possible. 40% don’t even take their medications as instructed, and how many do you think get regular checkups for preventative care? Far…
No, my point boils down to encouraging women to see their doctors instead of being afraid to do so, and encouraged by bullshit articles like this that it’s okay to not see their doctors.
One retrospective data does not put the matter to rest at all.
No, they’re not brought on MSNBC. People as famous as them with zero credentials brought to testify in Congress and advise lawmakers on social policy. That’s much worse than being brought on MSNBC because MSNBC doesn’t fucking set public policy.
Liver failure that results in death doesn’t just happen because a person decided to OD on pain killers.
The rate of aspirin allergies is less than 1%.https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3769380 Waay more women than that take birth control pills for medical reasons.
Just because they can doesn’t mean that they do. The vast majority of damage caused in people is liver damage.
