Apple Maps incorporates Waze data (along with TomTom). Which is one of the reasons it sucks so much.

People here are saying that they've had pairs for X number of years! YEARS!!
Like both the original and second generation earbuds, these earpods have been designed to an exacting standard of fit based on the late Steve Jobs ear canal, copies of which are available for any engineering staff at Apple with a desire to test new ear-related products.
Glad to see Filson getting some props here. I own two pairs of field pants from them and they make anything Carhartt puts out look like some sort of twee loungewear. Whereas most of my pants wear out within a year or so, one pair of my filsons is eight years old and has only recently really started to even look…
+1. Very relevant comment. Puts why you would do it into perspective, huh?
Thanks for that!
Anyone know if the Fuelband has an altimeter in it? Vertical is a big part of my workout, so steps alone usually doesn't tell the whole story. Currently using MotionX Sleep on my iPhone, which is great, but it doesn't take offer vertical.
I love wood. I love iPhones. I'd hoped I'd love wooden iPhone cases. But after two different Grove cases deteriorated on me within 6 months (splitting/warping), I realized, sadly, that wood (bamboo?), when it exists in such sheer states so as not to add too much bulk to your phone, does not offer the durability I…
"It takes years to slow down a juggernaut."
I don't see any reason why you have to have it hooked up to your laptop either. There are plenty of USB to A/C adaptors out there. Seems smart to do USB these days for devices that don't require much power - you don't have to worry about international plug tomfoolery.
If they are top belayed, it's probably safer than jogging. I know quite a few women who ski into their 8th, even 9th month, and even though they are really, really good skiers, I would still peg that as more dangerous. Most athletic women I know don't want to stop enjoying whatever sport/activity they are into just…
Good eyes.
Really? What made this app worth an article in Giz? I could offer 50 apps that have never been mentioned here that would appeal to a far wide audience (I think - maybe I am completely off base in my mental biz-reader-make-up) than this.
While I agree with everything you said about owning an iPhone, I just can't agree with Giz's overall reaction to the video. We are talking about departments within a vast corporation; one department made a killer phone, another department (or, more likely, an outsourced ad agency), did a stupid thing with the video…
Thanks for posting that - I was wondering where the girl on the bike played into all of this!
Okay, I get that if they have an account on a private tracker, then they could track you, but without an account there would be no way for them to monitor the torrents you are touching.
Given this review, I still see no need to go out and get something to replace my T1i. Video isn't that important for me in my dSLR, and I'm pretty happy with the stills it takes - happier still when I use nice lenses. Now, when Canon's EOS-M comes out...then we'll talk ;-)
I think I've got SSL configured, but will check tonight. Still haven't gone down the whole proxy route yet. Comcast once threatened me over an episode of True Blood, but that was downloaded from a public tracker (the last time I've ever downloaded something from a public tracker, too).
So, and I get this is all hypothetical, but how can seeding 1% of a file be considered piracy? At the point you are only sharing a partial file, all you are doing is sharing 1's and 0's that, on their own, don't actually make anything. Seems like it would be difficult to accuse someone of distribution of a file when…
I don't quite understand what their fascination was with the underwater realm and how they thought things were going to radically change. My biggest misunderstanding here is why they thought that within 100 years they would be able to have giant seahorses which we could train to ride. Not robotic seahorses. Just…
