This GIF was literally me IRL.

And only typically gets trotted out for white people - usually men.

Exactly. What most psychiatrists would define as “mental illness” typically has a physiological component like a chemical imbalance to it. That doesn’t mean people can’t have mental issues or even be crazy without a chemical imbalance (many people have mental issues as the result of trauma) or even that people might

I hear where you’re coming from, but being malicious, cruel, selfish, stupid, violent or greedy doesn’t mean someone has a mental illness. Being an asshole is not a mental illness (though some mental illnesses make result in people acting like assholes). Racism and white supremacy are not listed in the DSM.

Because mental illness is not learned like hatred and racism, and unfortunately for those with mental illness, it cannot be unlearned - hatred and racism can be if the person is willing to open their mind. People with mental illnesses are far more likely to be the victim of crimes than the perpetrators. Labeling hate

As a mentally ill person I want to bake this woman an amazing cake. This man is not mentally ill, and that would just be a way for Fox and even progressive outlets to ignore the changes and evolution that has occurred in American racism.

“...what black voter is actually better off for having voted for them?”

Saying this, for once, doesn’t fix a damn thing. But a candidate even saying it is more than I hoped for out of this “attack on Christians” spinning week.

Common sense ain’t common unfortunately. It has to be said over and over because people aren’t smart enough to understand.

All these republican politicians know exactly why Dylann did what he did because they agree with him. They think the American people are dumb (and to some extent it’s true) so instead of acknowledging the real problem, they’re gaslighting us.

The fucker had a fucking manifesto, it does not take a genius to figure out what his motivations are.

I’m not an American by birth, but I’m fairly well assimilated and grew up consuming lots of US pop culture. Most of the time, I think I have it figured out. But I have the say, the fact that so many people find it hard to say “this was caused by racism” is profoundly baffling to me.

Was it you that got them to remove revenge porn? Good on you!

You’re right (“ It’s not its job to make legal, moral, ethical, etc. decisions.”), but Google had made it their ethical motto “don’t be evil.” I guess they dropped that at some point.

It's really telling that, for years, Google and other search engines have made it possible to remove your bank account info, for example, and yet photos shared of your naked body without permission weren't granted the same exemption. It really tells you where we put our worth as a country, and it's in monetary assets.

FINALLY!!!

Exception to the rule - hotel Transylvania. I really enjoyed it (when you have a small child around you take what you can get) it was a cute movie.

He filmed a movie on our town. He stuck out like a sore thumb because he dressed like a bum. He could have been a lot more incognito of he dressed like a grown up (which is ironically the name of the film!)

His levels of creating shit movies when he is capable of giving the audience better is insulting. It's like he wants to see how shitty he can make a movie and still fleece ticket buyers. Vile.

I don’t know exactly what part of this story I enjoyed, but something in that comment made me chuckle. I think it might have been the mental image of a Danish guy feeling really sad over his ostrich skin cowboy boots thing.
