Holy smokes! Can you PLEASE stop posting spoilers for this game in your headlines? Some of us are right in the middle of the game, and want ALL of the story points to be fresh.
Yes! This!
I did legitimately beat this game as a kid. Granted, I was 15 when it came out, and I played the heck out of it.
You should really add The Vanishing Ethan Carter to this list. Maybe you haven’t played it yourself, but it fits right in. An exploration-focused mystery game with a gut punch story - that game really lingers long after you're done.
Fun idea, but I feel the list loses a few points by missing one of the best “spa day” episodes of television, ever.
I’m taking my Sonic-obsessed ten year old nephew to the movie this weekend. He talks about Sonic ALL THE TIME despite never having played any of the games, and has even invented his own Sonic OC.
I bought a ‘92 Williams Indiana Jones in 2001 for about 3k CAD. Restored it to factory new condition. Now it’s worth at least four times that, but I’ll never sell it. I’m gonna be buried in that pinball machine.
I came to the comments just to see if anyone else recognized this reference. And I cracked up at, “Stadia, release my buddy!”
All of this, and you didn’t answer the most important question for me, and probably countless others:
The regular McDonald’s cheeseburger is an absolute treasure, and is often ordered as a side with other, more flashy menu items.
If they included Guybrush Threepwood, I would actually buy this game.
I already thought this article was interesting, but then you bust out a Dinotopia reference? You, sir, have made my day. Breathe deep, seek peace.
While I can’t agree with every assessment you make (read: Twizzlers), and as a Canadian I don’t have access to (nor have ever heard of) many of the candies on your lists, as a fellow candy connoisseur I would love to see a follow-up regarding some of the best international candies.
After discovering them at a local…
We already had this exact movie. It was called Captain EO, starred Michael Jackson, was written by George Lucas, and only played in Disney Parks. It was cheesy and rad in the best 90s sort of way.
Ugh...no. I was really hoping that the swinging in this game was going to require some mastery. Some effort. This sounds like more of that Assassin’s Creed “hold X to traverse everything” garbage.
God I love this game so much. The music, the art style, the voice work - at the time, it was like playing a Disney movie. Monkey 2 may be the best in the series, but this is a close second. I even used the theme from this game at my wedding as the bridal party reception entrance music.
I remember that strawberry well, and I’m sure I got it the same way you did it - by doing the full loop. But there’s a strawberry that really tested my patience...
Windows 10 is NOT a good operating system. I decided to take the plunge on the advice of Kotaku and other gaming sites, and the upgrade so royally screwed up my network. It automatically removed crucial programs that were “no longer supported” (despite lying to my face by claiming “all your files are where you left…
You know what recent game has an AWESOME throwback manual? Descriptions and drawings of items and enemies? Tips and even a “notes” section?
