Yeah Gravity Falls is good but is treated like shit by Disney. Steven Universe however has absolutely unstoppable narrative momentum.

To be honest I think Steven Universe kind of left Adventure Time in the dust this year.

Laura Marling, Du Blonde and Courtney Barnett - all three artists hold the Best Songwriting title for me. Every song on their respective albums are masterclasses in songwriting

Best Dusty Springfield Revival

As someone from Melbourne it blows my mind that she's 'overplayed' in Milwaukeee

Best use of orchestra on a pop album

this wins the comments section, everyone can go home

At least Batman fights crime unlike Affleck who acts.

"Don't tell me my ancestors were slave-owners, my parents are DEAD!"

Except some mental illnesses and alcoholism is hereditary. Just sayin.

Because of the realization that part of his success relies on his heritage.

Yeah but are you seriously suggesting a guy named Benedict Cumberbatch didn't inherit his name from slave-owners?

It's really not, most of us can't trace our heritage back far enough. The crimes of my family tree are invisible. I'm sure more qualified people could find it, but I can't. Unfortunately most crimes stay hidden…
But when you do find it, like Affleck did, you can't just bury it again.

Then again, it would be pretty easy to declare Confederate-flag wavers hypocritical with a cursory look at their ancestry.
The fact is that no white person can just opt-out of our racist heritage, and would be hypocritical to deny our collective racism.
What can be done is justice, which means not just fighting external

This is the definition of censorship. They hid criminal activity to prevent restorative justice. Meanwhile Affleck could continue to profit from his family's crimes and the families of the victims received no compensation in any form.
Even with the leaks, justice has not been done.

"Wait, I'm white and my ancestors owned slaves, how is this possible?! Obviously this information must stay buried! My reputation is far more important than restorative justice!"

except this season is already getting universally panned

don't say they didn't warn you, though…

Hannibal doesn't have cases, there is ONE case with multiple murders. Season 1 is disguised as a case-of-the-week, but if you know anything about Hannibal Lecter, you know that isn't true.

You can't just remove it from it's context, being season 2 of a critically acclaimed HBO show. In context the reviews are damning.
