Seriously though, best article. It is in fact ableists who should be ridiculed, not the handicapped.

Just because everyone was amused and no-one felt hurt, doesn't mean it's okay. There's a word for it that unfortunately doesn't get much attention: ableism.
It is just as unacceptable as racism and sexism. I don't expect Kanye to get this, his wealth makes him cushioned from society. But I hope you and anyone else…
Am I the only one who was hoping that it would go on forever like Doctor Who? I mean it works on the same principle that you can change the whole cast…
Well production is already almost complete. I imagine not releasing it in any form would be a breach of contract, nobody signs up to make a show that nobody gets to see. I think Nick has regretted the 52-episode renewal almost since day one, when they realised that it wasn't pulling in the demographic it's advertisers…
Keep in mind that they renewed it for another 52 episodes on the strength of the series premiere alone. Maybe they regret that decision and that's why they're burning it off. Burning off saves them time and money. Money they probably want to spend on more lucrative properties, remember their advertisers are marketing…
Yeah, but this doesn't bode well for future Nicklodeon/Konietzko/DiMartino projects which I was looking forward to. Personally I'm still hoping for another Avatar spin-off. This world is too vast and full of possibilities for me to let go of it yet.
Smart in theory, dumb in execution.
Oh, I once put off a friend from ever listening to my movie recommendations again after I recommended Girl with the Dragon Tattoo but failed to mention the content of the movie. It was one of those blanket recommendations you give when you're not thinking of the person who's listening.
(I think I must have pointed to…
Damn, 8-year-old me would've been jealous, that's how old I was when they came out and I was already a huge fan of the books. But my parents forced me to wait until I was 15! But at the age of 12 I thought, screw this, and secretely watched an ex-rental VHS copy of Two Towers. It took me awhile to find the other two…
Sounds like he didn't even know what 'acid' is.
17-18 is around the time that certain media just completely blows your mind, but you still haven't learned that not everyone likes their mind blown that way, especially anyone older who has already formed their worldview so thoroughly that anything new is just too much.
Game of Thrones is parent-poison…
I dunno, I'd call that efficiency
If you sue Nickelback, I'll think you'll find they can't.
It's funny you say that, because I once heard a 19-year-old go on the exact same rant, at a party no less. He could've been high, I don't know, I went to the kinds of lame parties where they smoked pot somewhere in secret because their parents were around.
And Kurt Cobain would've agreed with you. Too bad he's dead…
I don't care if that's true or not, your comment is worth it.
Yeah, whatever you think of the song, this is not radio material. Trying to explain the complexities of the song to my 5-year-old would be almost as awkward as Max Bemis explaining it.
I thought he was a cartoon character or something.
Spot on, at the moment it's an outlet for spite, from one successful artist to another. Nobody seems to be having fun with this. It's not just be the interviewees, it's also a problem with the implementation of the feature.
