You always beat me to these threads, and for that I should probably thank you. 100% agreed.

Not exactly...

Yawwwn.

Sir, have you driven a 6th gen GT-Four?

First thing that popped into my head as well. Being 2008, and a different platform I’m not sure how much would be involved in a 5EAT swap, considering the electronics change (CAN blah blah) from earlier models, and the auto-blipping (ECU/TCU) feature on later models. Certainly could go for a 4EAT Sportshift w/upgrades

It was built to commemorate winning the Manufacturers Title in ‘97 which was the first season under the new WRC regs that spawned the (wide body) Impreza WRC.

22b was produced to commemorate winning the Manufacturers Championship in ‘97 and they pre-sold every single one immediately (rumours were 30 minutes IIRC). They made the decision to build another set number of cars and pre-sold all of them as well. I believe initially they were not offered this side of the pond at

Meeke(inen) sir... What Kris was affectionately dubbed after his dominance in Finland...

This. Though a part of me is hoping that Meekinen (and likely Neuville) have a good year in the new Citroën.

Like Focus RS and Golf R levels of “wouldn’t sell” or...

You mean the most generic looking WRX since the abomination that was the 2008 “Gentleman’s WRX”? (Which sold terribly across all demographics).

“screaming”

Uhhh. Yes, it is.

It doesn’t stop me from watching their videos/reviews that interest me. IMO, you can be a strong advocate for things you like, without scoffing at everything else. I find him annoying, but delivery might have just as much to do with it half the time. MT has a large “casual” enthusiast following, and you often see

Except that you can fix the sound... and drastically improve damn near everything you mentioned quite easily. The same can’t necessarily be said for areas where there Fiata already has a leg up... But I see others have already mentioned that you basically glossed over half of the review... Which is only slightly less

You’re not getting off that easy!

A Ford Focus is an economy car. So is a VW Golf, Subaru Impreza, or Mitsubishi Lancer. Sure, the automaker can beef up the engine, drivetrain, and suspension. They can add exterior and interior flair too. But when they’re done, it’s still an economy car at the core.
