I almost believed the post was tongue-in-cheek until I saw you defend yourself from the horde. The petty outrage machine gets me going more than anything. What I really want to know is whether you expected people to jump on the petty outrage bus with you. Who’s the old man yelling at the cloud now?

Baron is a giant though. The kid is already like 6 feet tall.

I actually thought this article was satire at first.

well it’s obviously not good enough.

Glad my Dad isn’t in politics... Starting at about age 7, my Dad would let me sit in his lap and drive the car home from my various sports practices.

I like how you guys have just embraced being embarrassing, sub-par journalists.

My Uncle’s 2002 F-150 had airbags that would shut off if a minimum weight wasn’t meet in the passenger seat. I’m willing to bet his luxury car has that too. IINM It’s been mandatory for a while now.

Amen. Trump is a complete putz, but the sheer desperation shown in increasingly-cheesy “attack” pieces like this is laughable.

I do, but I’m holding out for the highest bidder.

Wait did he do this? Do you have footage you can send us?

What do you expect from the Anti-Trump Gawker/Gizmodo folks? If it was a video of the Clintons doing this, they surely wouldn’t have posted it.

Baron is way above average in height for his age.

So was this cross-posted on Jalopnik because it was a Rolls-Royce?

I’m no Trump supporter, but I still can’t believe someone took the time to write this article.

Sure, but you still suck for making this petty article. You’re no better than the typical republican doing similar things. And since you’re being paid for being petty, you should have at least tried to also calculate his height and weight at the time.

if baron is over 8, there were no state laws being violated as it was mentioned he was 6 months over the minimum. If your going to critique, at least be accurate. A recommendation is not a requirement.

David, I love your writing, and have learned a thing or tow about cars from your David Dissects videos, but I’m disappointed that someone so knowledgeable about vehicles overlooked some crucial facts about specialty vehicles.

Maybe you’ll do this with another newer 8+speed 1500 truck and run the same *kind of* test for comparison? Otherwise, we get it. You don’t like the Raptor and would prefer if others don’t like the Raptor either because you say so.

David, you’re mathing wrong. You believe the Raptor got 9.4mpg average for the trip. In actuality, the 9.4mpg figure is for the Willys AND the Raptor together, so it has to be doubled for the actual MPG each, which means the Raptor actually got 18.8. So there! Especially because the Willys got infinite MPGs while on

TL:DR...... Ford gave David a truck to use as a support truck. He got it stuck. He guesstimated the weight he was going to tow and came up with a hypothetical MPG figure he was expecting with achieve with no basis in reality. The truck did not meet his fuel economy expectations when towing an unknown weight over
