Then get your own drone and GoPro and film some of the old tracks you want to see.
For some of us, this was a treat.
Not sure if serious, but his sentence is actually grammatically correct. The "its" refers to the track's last top-level race, not to that whiny bitch in the 24 car.
Well you've gotta post a picture of their car now; maybe I saw them in transit!
No, we didn't Long Haul. This was our first Tour and we just wanted to see what it was like. We did Charlotte-Knoxville-Charleston-Norwalk. Headed home after that since we were close.
From what I heard, the remaining stops (Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin) were all traffic jam shitshows, with overcrowded venues and boring…
See my (currently pending) post. The guy we talked to that lives next to the track mows and kills some vegetation from time to time.
BEST IDEA EVER.
Hell, just buy a bunch of junkers and turn people loose there. Have some crap-ass Blackfoot/Molly Hatchet/Skynyrd/Marshall Tucker-loving cover band play.
See my (currently pending) response to this. You may be able to get in with permission.
I went on the Hot Rod Power Tour this year and, while on the way from Cleveland to Charlotte, saw a sign for Wilkesboro. Dad and I diverted off, hoping to catch a glimpse of the track where Rudd and Earnhardt spun in '89, giving the win to Geoff Bodine; and where Harry Gant almost won his fifth consecutive race…
As a Logano fan, I'm encouraged by the hot streak, but I can't help but wonder about those 4 DNFs earlier in the year and wonder when either his luck will change, or he will get bit by the Adam NASCAR Curse.
(side note, this video should go on the Jalop front page, I don't even care about getting credit, it's just an awesome video)
Am I the friend you are referring to? Because I am pretty sure I had your car up in the wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy north end (think Nunavut) that one time...
You haven't watched Ricky Rudd's pedal cam, have you?
Glad to see this getting some press here on Jalop. I never met Thomas, but remember his car from an event I attended last fall. It always sucks to lose someone in the local car scene.
Will toss a donation to the family 'round payday.
+1, and add to that watching (if you've got Netflix) the documentary Muscle Shoals. It's the story of a town in Alabama, some rock and roll, some soul music, and...well, just watch the damn thing. They talk about it.
Who can argue with $1.99 for a 4-pack of tallboys?
Not me. Ever.
