You haven't watched Ricky Rudd's pedal cam, have you?
Glad to see this getting some press here on Jalop. I never met Thomas, but remember his car from an event I attended last fall. It always sucks to lose someone in the local car scene.
Will toss a donation to the family 'round payday.
+1, and add to that watching (if you've got Netflix) the documentary Muscle Shoals. It's the story of a town in Alabama, some rock and roll, some soul music, and...well, just watch the damn thing. They talk about it.
Who can argue with $1.99 for a 4-pack of tallboys?
Not me. Ever.
I drank nothing but Red Dog in college. Best decision of my life.
Totally late response, but Extra Gold has totally made it east of the Mississippi. I know this, because a case was given to me as a housewarming present 9 years ago, and it was so bad that I couldn't even pass it off as house beer to partygoers. I live in Cleveland.
I believe Ford's Panther platform was the last group of cars to feature cornering lights. I've got to admit, even though I own this (and a Grand Marquis for a daily), I never really notice them...
Both of these cars were looking and sounding great at Mid-Ohio this past weekend. Coming off of turn #2 (the 'keyhole' turn) on that long back stretch, they were just ATTACKING the track. I think Kendall had some mechanical issues, though. I was walking to the car to get my cooler and when I came back, he was off.
Side…
I was surprised too, when I showed up at Mid-Ohio for the Nationwide Series race and found them running multi-class T/A. It was awesome!
What about the Hot Rod Power Tour? World's largest traveling car show...
YES, YES, ohmygod YES. Such a dumb looking yet beautiful front end, such a great looking car from all aspects. And the dash is straight-up sexy with the gauge pack.
...........don't tell me you'd actually try to use a dinky 3/8" drive setup to remove an old suspension bolt installed by some Irishman in the UK decades before, instead of using a breaker bar or a 1/2" ratchet with a piece of heavy-duty pipe slipped over it?
I look like a fat Lt. Dangle (the short-shorts cop from Reno! 911).
This is what people talk about? Like...seriously?
I don't know how the Cleveland Heights PD didn't make this list. Green on the sides, white on top, black bumper covers. What in the actual fuck.
My parents bought a 1981 Coupe DeVille in '87, and kept it through around '01. The V-8-6-4 was finicky in 6-cylinder mode only but never gave us any problems. We towed our Coleman pop-up with it. All I remember was the check engine light always being on, and that it made the worst ticking noise under hard acceleration.
Serpico is such a great movie, and it'll suck not being able to watch it on Netflix.
Thanks for including the Marauder on the list, but that's a Crown Vic in the picture (albeit a very NICE Crown Vic).
Pro tip: get a NEXUS card. $50, valid for five years, and in the year since I've had mine, I've never been asked anything other than minimally-invasive questions at any crossing (either in the NEXUS lane, or in the regular lane in the middle of the night). Absolutely worth it if you cross frequently.
