I had a museum attendant tell us off for touching a clearly labeled interactive exhibit because it was only for people with disabilities. (it wasn’t). We weren’t even mishandling it or being rough on it, just using it as meant to be used.

Yeah, but it’s also for creating media for re-installing purposes. It makes sense that it still works.

Even if you’re awake at 4am and have to be awake again at 6 it’s better if you at least get in a small nap. Even if it doesn’t entirely feel like it - even 20 minute naps can make you more alert and productive.

This. It’s also possible these guys were only using the EPA test to look at how the cars were passing the test (because that’s what they’d need to pass too). So they may not have noticed the discrepancy between test use and road use.

We did something else: every time someone looked at their phone they put 1$ on the table and at the end the money was added to the tip.

Try looking for stuff a little further out, but yeah, transatlantic flights probably won’t be a lot cheaper.

I’m not saying artists are paid enough, I’m saying artists should get more money from the available pool, which is fairly large. There’s no evidence piracy eats a significant amount of profits - and piracy goes way down when streaming is easily available.

How do you feel about record labels keeping much of that compensation, then?

This. Most of the money you pay for music never even gets to the artist, the record label keeps it.
