Huh, Tom Hardy always seems like such a sweetheart in interviews. Most of his character are indeed creepy.

But Bane was not born an raised in prison. It is also not established that Bane is the intellectual equal of the protagonist.

The screen test version is more compelling than the movie version. But this is awesome!

I had no problem understanding Bane in the movie, but the pitch and over computerized in the final film were a bit ridiculous and unintentionally hilarious rather than creepy and scary. I wish they'd kept the original (maybe with a bit more clarity).

For a very different definition of "cleverly". This is clearly "edgy" for the sake of "edgy", and IMHO, just not very good art.
