You need to go back and read what I read. You're misinterpreting the word "ideal." I said I was supporting the ideal of player choice, not the ideal choice. I'm not saying my opinion is the ideal opinion. I'm expressing my opinion about an ideal; the ideal of player choice.

Where did I say I was speaking for you? I'm speaking for the concept of player choice and respect for one's user base. If you want to bitch that people are asking for things you don't want, go bitch to those people.

Sorry, I misspoke. They haven't taken matchmaking. They've taken away the option to do without it on some events. Either way it's removing options for players without providing any additional benefit.

In Diablo, you usually can use the items you DID get even if they aren't the best items in the game. If you look at Destiny, there are only three sets of gear and a handful of exotics that have any utility, and you need to grind for each of them - and then you need to grind again to level them up - and again if they

What does that have to do with anything? I'm pointing out you are frustrated with an entertainment website because people are frustrated with an entertainment game. You didn't pay $60 to complain about Kotaku - kotaku costs you nothing. I did pay $60 to receive a substandard product. I don't have to produce a better

This is a website made for entertainment and I am not entertained. I am frustrated.

A developer who disrespects their community deserves to be disrespected right back.

That's because the game deserves every criticism and joke it's getting.

Agree 100% and feel the same way. Keep fighting the good fight.

So he's not complaining about the things you want him to complain about so you are going to whine to try to get him censored. Got it.

I enjoyed that first sentence! And I've been playing Destiny since day one. Didn't seem inappropriate at all. Bungie is always quick at fixing things (glitches) that help us, but slow at fixing things that hurt us.

Your reporting has been excellent in regard to this game (and pretty much every other game I've seen you cover).

But that's kind of what Destiny is - the most fun, yet frustrating game in town. The people who play it love it to death and are also incredibly frustrated by the game and the decisions Bungie makes.

They put a bug in patch notes! If that doesn't deserve a healthy dose of mocking I don't know what does?

Forcing matchmaking on players is not a good thing. It'd be a perfect, much-welcomed change if matchmaking was an option. But for people who like soloing or running the weekly in groups of two — challenges that are much-needed in a game that's sorely lacking things to do — this really sucks.

I genuinely love Destiny — I've spent at least 200 hours playing it — and wish it didn't feel like the people behind it were trying to piss off players at every turn. Between Bungie's poor communication with the community and their insistence upon forcing players to play the way THEY want players to play (see: weekly

Heheh...his crotch is literally a cockpit.

The exact value is irrelevant because, as I've already stated, the reasoning holds up as long as the percentage of straight people is a clear majority. It helps explaining the reasoning if I use a number, and hence after brief research I stated that "around 90% are straight". If you bother reading the article that I

That's why I didn't use "90% of the population is straight" as a fact. I used "around 90% of the population is straight". Even as a fact, it's one that is irrelevant to my argument, but it is easily backed up. I forgot to paste the link in the end of my last comment, though (after the sentence "this one, for example
