First thing I thought of was the episode from Rocko’s Modern Life

Half the fun of having one of these kit cars would be building it the way you want, so I can’t see it going at that price. Does anyone else think this one looks stubbier than the original? No dice.

Agreed. Odometers used to roll over every 100,000 but they definitely added more digits to the odometer by the time this car came out.

AAAAaaaaaAAAAAAAAnnnnnnGGGGrrrrrrrryyyyyy BEAVERSSSS!

Does police protocol allow you to pit vehicles when you know kids are in them?

Wow, I was just at a wedding in somebody’s backyard in Jersey and I was looking at these things on the trees wondering what they were. Wish I had seen this a week ago.

Forgot about the Avista. Probably would have put Buick back on the map had they actually put it into production.

Mercedes did it better ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

AC Delco made radios?? I just picked up an AC Delco starter solenoid last week. Makes me think of those Mitsubishi TV’s and air-conditioning units.

I can’t recall the last time I saw one of these on the road, but now that you showed me this picture I bet I’ll see one a some point this week. It’s the way it goes!

People probably forgot about this shit-heap, but the Chevy Cavalier was a certified cockroach of a car. Almost indestructible. Pick one up from a retiree who has passed on and drive it until the wheels fall off.

Pretty wild that you can escape police in a lime green Mercedes. Lucky as shit that with all those people there, nobody got killed by that guy fleeing.

The windows were too dark to determine the driver’s race/ethnicity so they couldn’t shoot.

I was thinking the guy snuck in a lift kit or something, but it doesn’t appear so.

They should just stop making headlights out of crappy plastic. Problem solved.

The VW market is insane. Almost as bad as the classic Mopar prices.

Never had that problem with interior bolts on my ‘64 Cadillac. They were all stainless, cadmium coated or chrome. I’m really only referring to interior panel screws. But I agree with you on door jamb or trunk latch bolts. Those should be easy to access.

It’s easy enough to put screws out of sight just by changing the angle they’re put in. If you do it below anybody’s normal line of sight, you won’t know they’re there unless your hunched over looking for them. No need for crummy plastic covers.

It probably would have been better if they had just kept this one hidden away or just flat out destroyed it. Yuck.
