Knowing the basics of design is great! Years ago, I read The Non-Designer's Design Book and that book alone helped me out more in my school and professional life more than any textbook ever did.

I love the idea. I love the engine. I love the 4WD. I can even deal with the weight of the thing. But damn that is too ugly!

I'm not sure how much I agree with the editorial sentiment here. I agree that everyone should have access to free medical care, but I'm not sure why we're singling out this guy who is clearly pretty scummy when there are millions of uninsured people who don't behave like that out there.

Man, we never had any scandals when I was at OSU. Anti-feminist leadership AND when some drunk kids stole the Lee Corso head at the Civil War? I'm missing all the fun.

Jezebel crosspost please!

Sick weave.

@WheatKing: Come on man, think about how easy it would be to test the casing. Put a nice big crack in the flywheel, spin it up to double max operating speed, and listen for the bang.

I saw a 911 (Carerra 4s) up at Mt. Hood Meadows yesterday with a rack ans snowshoes. It was awesome!

@KillerRaccoon: Ohhh that makes sense. That could make for some damn fine throttle response without a dual clutch. I'm all for it!

the electric motor replaces the torque converter

@jepzilla: I commented on this elsewhere in the thread, but theoretically it shouldn't be that big of a deal due to the horizontal orientation of the wheel. Banked corners could be kind of weird though!

I kind of like the little one! does this mean I have to turn in my commenting badge?

Thanks for taking the time, Mr. McDowell!

@LastAndLeast: Yeah, I do remember reading an article ages ago about flywheels. I know that the theoretical limits are really high, I'm just curious about what tradeoffs the engineers had to make.

@ReverendDexter: I dunno, I always prefer the largest amount of doors offered on a particular chassis. There's a slight weight penalty, but I think it's worth not making your friends clamber over the front seat to get in.

@Cheeseslap spanks his ACR for being good: I think that whatever they did they gave it thorough safety testing. I mean, who wouldn't wanna spend a day at work blowing up flywheels? I just hope they gave it a damn good connection to the roll cage.

@patman: Haha this occurred to me too. I wonder how pronounced the effects really are? I sure hope it's actually that much.

Three questions:

Hey, my first chance to apply what i learned about art in 'Exit Through the Gift Shop" to a contemporary piece!

@alula: I swear I've seen this pic before.
