I found a better solution than the dish towel. I went to Southern Alabama and purchased a specially trained cat to guard the clean dishes. Whenever I take one dish out the cat stands guard to prevent dirty dishes being put in. The cat is a typical asshole cat, but does the trick with no hassle.
