I’m from an Italian-American family and an Italian-American neighborhood and I’ve never heard of lamb in the sauce. Beef and pork, yes. If it’s tasteless, it might be either cheap oil, lack of salt and seasonings or the lamb, which I disliked even before I became vegetarian.
