Sweet! I'm going to fire up my PS3 right now and download these!

I'm not going to pay for this, but I don't mind if they choose to offer it.

So, then...there's still no word on bonus characters for Nintendo or Sony? I certainly hope they do something to that effect, or I'll feel a little ripped off as someone who wants this game but owns everything besides a 360.

I'd release an HD-compatible Wii successor and announce Metroid and Smash Bros. as launch titles. Then I'd retire.

Damn them for adding those extra characters! Now I need to buy it again!

@Bitter_Monkey: This is one game that doesn't really need a fight stick. The Cube's controller is excellent for quarter-circles, and the attack options appear to have been designed with the GameCube's control layout in mind.

@jellotek: Hell yeah. The giant bucket special is the first thing I show to people when I introduce them to the game. It has never failed to keep them playing!

@Evdor: Well, it sold well in foreign markets before it even came out in a language those markets can typically understand. People love crossovers, and Wii owners will be happy to get a solid fighter; I'd predict respectable sales for this one.

Seeing such an awesome shot of Samus on the Kotaku feed made me smile. Not just any smile, either.

I do quite enjoy PSN, but if there were a charge for it, I wouldn't pay. I've got no problem with purchasing DLC, but I'm already paying for the Internet connection I use on my computer. I'm not interested in paying another fee each month just to have someone call me a fag while I'm playing a game.

Reads, "Nintendo Horror"...

Wow... from the Beatles to Green Day. Not quite the same level of prestige there, guys.

"Ash, it's me! Your long lost twin brother! Mother never loved me because of my rare genetic disorder that causes me to appear angry all the time, and my skin condition that requires me to remain in the shade. Now I've finally found you, and we can be brothers again!"

I haven't paid for cable in about five years, and haven't felt like I'm missing anything. If there's a show I want to watch, I download each episode the day after it airs, then watch it on my PS3. If there's a movie I want to watch, I get it from Netflix or buy it used for a couple bucks from Newbury Comics.

@kthnxdylan: kthnxdylan used SLAP. It's super effective!

This actually looks kind of fun, if not a bit silly... like a dating sim that unspokenly acknowledges its own fruitlessness. I hope this makes its way to PS3 someday.

@wintersault: That's one of my go-to openers as well. For some reason, it only seems to work at conventions...

@TheFamous1: Yes, but where does one necessarily go after "hello"? A dude who watches a lot of anime and talks to his friends about anime every day will likely feel inclined to want to talk about anime to other people as well.

@garytek: "It's about reacting naturally to in-game elements. If input lag is thrown into the mix and fucks up the processing and receiving of information on-screen, then it becomes a competition based on luck, not skill."
