The worst part of all of this isn't the fact that this piece of crap avoided doing time for this... it isn't that his rich parents get a break on his rehab costs... it's that INSURANCE is paying for this.

Yeah, there's always been a DQ in Okmulgee for some reason or another. It's especially funny when compared to the shiny new ones up here.

They've made a comeback in Tulsa, so they might end up down around that way again. What's even more strange is that there are some random places where they never left.

Both places have excellent burgers, but In-N-Out wins by a mile on general freshness, hands down. It's not even close. Whataburger's toppings always seem like they've been sitting around for a few days before they end up on your burger. Limp, brown lettuce and way over-ripe, slimy tomatoes don't really help the

Cut. It. Out.

I've just plain given up on a V8 5-speed for that very reason, regardless of the manufacturer. Those prices are a symptom of the problem I talked about in my earlier post; since they have become more and more rare over the years, people who own them are convinced that any shit example of a V8 manual half-ton truck is

What's more sporty than the color of horses?

Well, I was talking about half-tons. I can't speak to the durability of the driveshaft/axles in the 3500 vs the half-ton, but my point stands.

It's grounded to the ground track.

Sorry, a non-luxury-truck guy in the middle of show truck country tends to get a little defensive.

Well, as far as the Blackwood is concerned, I saw a bunch of them here when they were released ('02 to '03, since the economy here was rockin', just like everywhere else in the US at the time), then they sort of disappeared. I chalk that up to vanity truck buyers getting them on lease, then abandoning them.

Frankly, if I'm working all day, I'd rather do some yoga and then get a massage from my lady than rely on a seat vibrator (one of those situations where you get back two-fold what you give - give her a massage when you've got plenty of energy, and get your payback when you really need it :). When I'm doing yard work

Don't get me wrong; ass massage is awesome in certain situations, but when I'm hauling crap to the landfill or green waste site, ass massage is the last thing on my mind.

That's exactly the type of truck I've decided I don't want or need.

I guess I'm more of a handling guy than anything else. HP and sharp-as-a-tack handling is more attractive to me than bragging rights. As I get older and more crotchety, I question how many of these people are using these Quad Cab pickups for pickup truck duty.

Torque is for more than towing (though I'm sure you know this). I'm under the assumption that people are actually using trucks for "truck stuff". You can look at my other post for my feelings on this issue... I just got done posting it, so I'm not going to reiterate the same rant again (I'm not trying to say

The interesting thing to me is that as I get older and more financially secure, the thought of "I need to get a nice, new V8 truck before they become unavailable/unreasonable" is getting further from my priorities. Keeping in mind that I live in "nice truck" country, of course.

torque is the issue with 4-cylinders. they tend to go "square" with turbos... as in hp and tq being somewhat equal. with turbo 6 engines, it's seemingly easier to get a more torque- generous curve, which is the whole point of V8s.

Comin' at ya.

I'm guessing that it's due to the baggy wool pants. Ball sweat + scratchy wool = chafing.
