Seems that every NP or CP vehicle is about $1500-$2000 overpriced, doesn't it? That's an average, of course... some hardcore CP vehicles are far more overpriced than that.

I've always heard that "by-product" thing isn't necessarily true. In traditional fractional distillation, diesel has to be refined less than gasoline, but US rules on diesel have changed that a little (molecules in diesel fuel are still much larger than gas). There are other refining methods, but they're expensive.
