Blanching’s cool, the veggies aren’t in the water long enough to become sad, mushy remnants of their former selves.
Boiled vegetables (unless they’re only boiled as a precursor to something else, like frying or roasting or anything) are usually terrible.
Also amazing is that I heard Mario Maker won’t let you publish a level until you prove that you can beat it. So Brex had to finish the level too.
I love playing as a fungus in this. Save up your evolution points early on and spam as many Spore Bursts as you can; it’ll give you a presence in lots of countries early on. Just make sure to save one or two for the mid-game to catch any last countries that have managed to close their borders, MADAGASCAR.
Hell, I’m on my first playthrough of Fallout 3 and it’s challenging enough without taking my cues from a million strangers. Definitely harder than New Vegas; I’ve already gotten at least minor rad sickness four times, and gotten addicted to chems probably closer to 30. I do expect it to get easier now that I have…
I worked at Value Village for a couple of years in my late teens. Aside from the Furniture department, nothing new comes out of the back on the weekend; the people who sort and price the clothes, toys, books and housewares work 9-5 Monday to Friday, so that’s when the shelves and racks get re-stocked. So if you’re…
But is there a cameo appearance by the only wizard in the Yellow Pages?
It’s funny that you’d mention parsnip, because I love the things; they’re like root-beer-flavoured carrots. I’ve even made beer (partly) from them.
I’d bash her kit, if you catch my meaning.
I tried the roasting trick with one thin eggplant; they did get quite crispy and smelled good, but the flavour was still kind of off-putting. I think after trying them roasted, fried, baked into lasagna, and sauteed, I can safely put eggplant to bed as “not for me” :P
Crispy would be a marvellous improvement over the results I’ve gotten so far, that’s for sure :)
I’ve tried incorporating sliced eggplant into lasagna and baked penne, and it always just turns into slimy, bitter landmines to be avoided in an otherwise-tasty dish. What might I be doing wrong?
I think that might be a regular mushroom, of the non-size-changing variety. Super mushrooms and 1-up mushrooms tend to be about the same size (and usually the same shape) as Goombas.
Was that a ghost, though? Or a tumour-induced hallucination?
All plumbers are beautiful, quit body-shaming Skinny Mario. #ToadLivesMatter
Coming this fall, GTA: Toronto.
