I didn’t play SS2 til it came out on steam and even then I played it once, got stuck, quit playing n came back to it later on down the line. found myself drawn in (imagining a character shuffling through a overly stuffed backpack is the best way to look at the UI), purely for the story side- completed it that time…

on ss2’s 15-30~hrs- that’s assuming you know where your going at all times, it was back in a golden age of games where hand holding was at a minimum, monster constantly respawned and if you thought your clunky inventory screen was safe, guess again!!!!
