I rented a CLA this week. Nice little car! Quick, comfortable, solid feeling. The shifter is not only where the washer control stalk goes (a lot of cars were/are that way) but was shaped like one too. I am trying to turn on the wipers but am changing gears instead. If you do that, do it like Chevy with a big-ass lever…

Takata Finally Does It

Great description. Granted, it was 30 years old at the time but it had like 90 degrees of steering play. And shocks that were both floaty and bouncy. And no power. But yeah, it just looked and felt right at the Brady, TX Sonic on a Friday night. And with a 30 gallon tank you could cruise and cruise.

I had a pink 1958 Ford Fairlane in high school (I was young enough that this was an ironic and interesting choice, not just a used car) and I think it was this car’s sibling. It was terrible/awesome and if the Edsel was nearly as good it doesn’t deserve the shame.

Funny. I have a red 135i and haven’t been pulled over yet. Got a (legit) ticket in my white Z3, two BS tix in my green 330i and like 4 tickets in my XJ Cherokee. Even got a ticket for speeding in my 850 Fiat Spyder (hint: no).

I have owned several. Seems like a while there it was all they made. Have you ever seen another color X5? I now have a bright red 135i. Haven’t gotten a ticket yet but I kinda wish it was silver.

My Spyder was decidedly not new. Nor large. Or functional. But damn, I am a car enthusiast with no real future in school and you give me a check for $2500? Shits going to happen!

Damn! That ain’t much money and it looks clean. This was my favorite 7-series. Really, I need to invest my tax refund. This thing won’t go down in value, right? I might be with Tom, though. I might just prefer an auto, but having owned an e39 that six speed is pretty great.
