How is an autonomous car programmed to handle this?
How is an autonomous car programmed to handle this?
Unfortunately I never owned a Mustang, but I had a V8 Fairmont station wagon as my first car (also Fox). The rear end on that thing did not want to stay planted, which might have been exciting, except that power oversteer and axle wrap was totally not a problem considering the wheezy 110 or so horsepower it out out. I…
It was rack-and-or-pinion baby! Seriously, handled way better than the first gen, and maybe even the early third gen Mustangs.
Dodge Dart: still a bad idea but it handles better and rides more comfortably than a civic. Unlike the new civic (or modern Hondas) it’s tail end isn’t self conscious about polar moment of inertia.
Anise! So it's licorice-y worm oil. Excellent!
They still make Camrys? I don't remember seeing one for a while.
Is that a blue Tracker? I took a stock leased Tracker to the top of Holy Cross City years ago. Bravo for a non-standard wheeling choice!
Volkswagen’s top position is due to the German spelling of “bümbër”, as in “bümbër dude, your distributor just melted into your engine block” or “bümbër, JC Whitney stopped selling 5 liter cylinder conversion kits”—my drag racing dreams are ruined.
They are pushing the laws of physics with 12 holes per jeep rotor. Fn Jeeps-the draglink reminded me that I basically owned a tractor. It's like using home plumbing to build your steering system. I get it, but it is a shame that since 2001 we have moved on to a new era and I do miss the old one.
This is who gathers data about security breaches?
You could probably modify it to move the battery way out past the rear axle for, uh, handling.
It could be great, with more cars, more fun, and less expense
That was back when they tried to make SUVs palatable by calling them station wagons instead of making station wagons palatable by calling them SUVs.
Yes! It’s the variability and gusts that scare the crap out of me. Thank you for the explanation! Is there some physics reason that I will be on approach at about 300 feet and I feel like we are jostling up and down by an amount that would be deadly if it happened at an altitude of 15 feet. Or you are adjusting for a…
Can we stop these crosswind posts? Because I am super paranoid about flying, have to do it a lot for work, and I live in Denver (you don't see videos of it here b cause there is no vantage to take photos from). I want to feel like my flight isn’t doing what my imagination thinks it is and these posts aren’t helping.
The XJ is fabulous. My friends with TJs and heavily modded YJs and CJs would give me a hard time, but this car just kept going. And I literally towed a friend’s CJ5 to Moab and back on a trailer. An amazing machine that showed up the hard core rigs at the EJS and made Home Depot runs as well.
Minis and Civics and Miatas were made for em. Used to go out f my way to take a rounda-bouty route home. Sometimes stayed in the same be for a lap or three.
Could the sensors be cheaply retrofitted (not the autonomous part) so that when my MG is in the garage leaking oil with a dead battery all of the other cars will know that it’s safe to go out and cruise autonomously? And when I am driving it, probably on fire, they can respond appropriately by at least knowing where I…
Bernie Samders pushed this through?
Asteroids reference is clever and top notch.
