I don’t like it. The whole shape of the car reminds me of a boat. I don’t like the grilles, I don’t like the squared fender wells, I don’t like the general shape. It seriously looks like it could be an amphicar or whatever they call those car/boat things.

Sorry but this car is hideous. It manages to be both horribly over-designed yet blandly underwhelming. The front fascia is a messy misuse of space and the chrome accents only highlight it’s awkward, bloated look. It looks like an unreleased concept car from the early 2000s.

I don’t like it.

Nah, it’s wheel base is too short, overhangs too long, the front track looks pinched in.

Here in Italy, we do not need cupholders. We like our espresso coffee in the little ceramic cup and we drink it at the bar, straight from a nice coffee machine. Nobody here likes to carry in his car the take-away pint of tinted water that you call coffee . When we drive, we usually do not drink and the only thing I

The Disco is ugly as hell.

Yeah, they would say that on the Maserati website.

Autoblog says it is the same diesel engine in a Chrysler 300, Jeep GC, and Ram 1500. Ferrari “modified it”... sure ok. My tiny foil hat might be strong, but I don’t believe Ferrari is really doing anything to these engines. Maybe slight modifications so they can sell

Yeah the engines are made in a Chrysler factory. It is a modified Chrysler engine. Maserati goes through all that effort to hide the fact it is a Chrysler engine from the everyday consumer. They want it to feel special.

Is it just me, or was the Alfa driver deliberately taking some bad lines? It appears he was intentionally trying to upset the car. Testing the idiot proofing, perhaps?

To all those wondering about the lack of speed, the Alfa driver was likely an engineer who was more focused on collecting a predetermined data set than he was driving 9/10th and bullseyeing every apex. I doubt these guys get to just go out drive around expensive prototypes with no purpose in mind.

If you don’t protect your trademark, you lose your trademark. Simple as that. Ferrari can’t have one case go through and then let everyone else use it as precedent against them, so they crack down when its high profile.

Sigh.

I

old overused comments which really doesnt apply anymore.

I think you summed up your entire comment by calling it an “Alpha.”

I love the matching wheels! both are beautiful!

I like the Mito as well! Too bad we don't get those or any other Alfas over here in the US. I'd love to have a Brera (but I've heard that is more because we can't have them than that they are really much good).

These are amazing. I've looked closely at the one that's sitting in my local exotic car dealership and just love it. I have written here several times that the Maserati Gran Turismo S is the prettiest car currently made, but that's only because the 8C was made for such a short period of time.
