It is not. It is the 9o deg Ferrari V8 minus two cylinders which is why it idles so roughly. The Pentastar V6 is a 60 deg V6 and it is used in the Maserati’s with a new head and turbos.

Glad you’re still with us.
So glad to see you post. Thank you.
Tough shit. I’m tired of being Captain Save-a-Ho to the rest of the knuckle-dragging mouth-breathing country. It’s not MY job to drag you kicking and screaming into the 20th century.
You’ve never had a dull job looking at companies have you? Sales don’t equal profits.
Which is a brilliant strategy. Seriously what’s wrong with you.
Giugiaro.
On the real-life emissions testing topic, in FCA’s hometown, where I live, this kind of sight is becoming somewhat common:
It’s depressing to think that 8Cs - one of the most beautiful modern cars - are being cut up for an ugly design school concept that is already dated. The 8C is a timeless design and they’re chopping them up left and right apparently, to make these stupid things.
I haven’t liked this disco volante remake in any of its 3 iterations. It’s awful, cloying, too busy, and an absolute waste of an 8C. If you’re going to irreparably change a rare and beautiful car, it had better be worth it, and this isn’t. And if these fools keep making more stupid variations on it, we’re gonna run…
This looks so much better than the Velante; which looks confused and trying too hard to be a ferrari, an ugly one at that.
Beautiful car all around.. not one flaw. And easy on the eyes....
Great car. I have 30K miles on mine. US serial # 1. They painted it P 4/5 Red for me. No real problems. Needs snow tires in anything over 1 inch.
Prettier. I wish I could afford one ever.
I honestly don’t think there’s a single car that fills me with more yearning on sight. Whenever I see one I start mentally tallying how much of my money, personal belongings and excess internal organs I’d give up for one.
Perfection. I will never look at anything again.
This car is straight up art. I don’t care that it isn’t as fast as a contemporary Ferrari or Lambo, this would be my choice!
This is the single car, in all of recorded history, i would sell an appendage/organ/testicle for. Purely for the facts that it a) heralded the beginning of the always-next-year renaissance of pretty alfas, and b) is in itself a very pretty alfa. For a mainstream automaker to style a car like this in-house and actually…
I've felt this way for a long time. I would much rather take an unmolested 8c over this any day.
These are so ugly. The world does not need more ruined 8c’s!
