aaaand, you read them. At least this is part of *her* job ;-)

y u no ban this dickshit?

One, I actually grew up extremely poor, so I don't have any class. Two, I don't wear thongs, I just wrote this piece about the phenomenon. Thanks for your insight!

what if there's a fire or some kind of time-sensitive emergency in the middle of the night?? I'm paranoid.

Because Canada is fucking cold. And the bathroom is far away.

Seriously! I think I own ONE thong, and I've never worn it.

See, that's brilliant! I wish I'd thought of that.

On a completely unrelated note, I can't stop singing your screen name to the tune of the first line of "Diane Young" by Vampire Weekend.

Crippling jealousy combined with an inferiority complex and a deep-seated sense of failure at their own lives.

Cynicism, an overriding fear of being played for a sucker, and a deep seated need to be proven "right". And of course the public's desire to tear down stars.

I would much rather read this than look at a billion posts about, say, someone's cat.

Because he's homeless, so he MUST be a pot head right? Ugh. irritating. I understand the gesture, trying to be cute while nice... but coming off as very, very ignorant.

You realize you contribute to that though when you click on these articles and comment?

It's not like Taylor Swift called the media herself about it.

It was still a nice thing to do? If someone gave me $90, I would be happy, even if $90 was like nothing to them cause it's still a lot of money for me.

Yep. It's gotten to a weird point where I feel like I have to defend her, and I'm not a fan of her music. She does nice things all the time and people are obsessed with making good deeds into negativity.

So... is she supposed to give her more money or no money at all? I mean, it sounds like $90, being a drop in the bucket for Swift, just isn't significant enough to you as a spontaneous gift. Should they have walked together to the ATM where she could take out $500, or will that also not be enough? Or should she have

And Taylor took money, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my money given for you; eat burritos in remembrance of me."

Why is this remotely a story? People do nice things all the time for other people.

I can't figure out why people continue to hate on Taylor Swift in this day and age.
