Well, it fucking worked, because you fucking wrote about it, and I fucking clicked and read it, and now I’m fucking disappointed in myself.

Good list. I’d also add that GM pioneered turbocharging with the Olds Jetfire. I think the Caddy Deville was one of the first cars to have LED brake lights. Let’s also not forget the pioneering all-aluminum Buick V8 from 1960 that went on to power Rovers and Landies for decades.

According to a recent issue of Automobile I read, a higher-tuned version of this engine IS going into the C8 ‘vette as the premium engine option. Maybe that was just a rumor, but seems logical to me.

I would challenge you to seek out Larceny (though I honestly don’t know how widely distributed it is). It’s got a heavily wheated, great character, and under $30 (at least in Cincinnati).

Thanks for the recommendations; these all sound very interesting. I was surprised not to see any scotches, but perhaps that’s just not an area where one tends to find reasonably priced, new/obscure gems in the whiskey world the way one can when exploring stateside offerings, what with craft distilling taking the baton

I tend to shy away from overly-fancy bottles, worried that it’s a marketing gimmick to sell an otherwise lackluster whiskey. Good to hear this one’s not “all show, no go.” I believe I’ve seen it on shelves in northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area.

As a taxpayer, I am curious now how the gov’t decides who to audit and investigate for fraud and such. Obviously those individuals checking off every box for disability and social security are worth scrutinizing, but are the also teams or divisions of people crawling social media of driving by residences checking up

Yes, indeed. This is why we call it “air conditioning” and not just “cooling” or something.

Many of the idiots rolling coal used the same thought process to vote for Trump: “This’ll piss of those libtards, and that’s all that matters. Secondary consequences be damned, whether it be worsened fuel economy, my kids suffering asthma, or WWIII, HA!”

Every single one?! Wow!

I don’t follow basketball, but I still REALLY enjoyed this piece.

I can DEFINITELY imagine a savvy property owner making this a condition when commissioning a work, especially if the artist is younger, less savvy, and just thrilled to get the publicity and/or work.

You make some interesting points, but I’m not sure #4 holds up. A “high-profile” photog shooting a model for a portfolio or instagram is still advertising. These are business tools that photogs use to build their business and get clients. Marketing their talent is no different than marketing an SUV.

Agreed. When they started pulling kids out of the cave and it was obvious his device (not a fucking sub but whatever) was not going to be used, he basically tweeted something like, “glad the kids are being saved. I’ll leave the thing here just in case. Thailand is beautiful.

I rarely have reason to travel that far west of the city, so this brewery has been largely off my radar, but you make a compelling case. Do they have a dog-friendly patio? I could definitely see spending a few hours at Fernbank Park and then grabbing a pint there afterwards.

There should still be a way for a retailer to confirm the legitimacy of a coupon, particularly when it’s issued by the store’s own brand. I’ve never worked in retail, but surely there a phone number to call or a current list of in circulation coupons that could be referenced. I guarantee there’s a procedure for

That must be the difference. I’ve only been in a 996 with black leather interior (my friend’s 2001 C4) and I thought it was very nice, but functionally dated. I don’t mean that in a bad way, but the small dash, cozy feel, windshield right up in your face, etc. all make it feel like a car from a different era. But, the

You made every Gen-X car nerd happy with that one. Should definitely make the cut.

I wholeheartedly share in your disgust, thank you! I can sort of understand having some comforts while camping, especially folks of a certain age (old!) who still want to camp but don’t want to crouch in a tent and their achy old bones REALLY need a bed
