I live downtown and I love Dulles. Sure, it’s far, but #accessroad!! OK, one Starbucks isn’t gonna cut it, but if you’re in the right terminal, that wine place is a Godsend!

If you're planning on going to and/or from the airport, the toll road is free. (They even have a divided section for airport drivers.)

That has not been my experience at all. Have you never been to LGA? EWR? ORD? Dulles is way down the list of worst airports in the US. And furthermore, who’s paying tolls? Don’t you expense those? Better yet, hire a livery service and stop traveling like a newbie!

I like both DC airports; I’m in the city mostly now, but Dulles used to be easier when I was in NoVa. It’s clean, has a VERY high-capacity/fast security queue, ample drive-up space so traffic isn’t bad (as it often is around Reagan). Came here to say this. Who gives a crap about the government officials downtown? It's the most convenient airport to all of Northern Virginia. And the economic growth of this area is thanks to IAD.

I like Dulles. If your criteria for putting it on this list is the fact that it is far from downtown DC, that isn’t fair. 75% of business nowdays is conducted in Reston/Herndon, right next door. Plus most airports are way outside of the cities they serve (yeah Denver....I’m looking at you....you’re closer to Kansas…
