I've been saying all along that Kingdom Hearts should tap the Disney Afternoon stuff for material. My best guess as to why they don't is that Disney is no longer promoting or trying to make money from any of those franchises. Well, except Duck Tails.

Wow, it's really cool to see gameplay footage so early on. It's obviously not finished, you can tell a lot more polish and animation work is needed before either of the scenes in this video are done, but it will be interesting to compare this footage to the finished product when it finally comes out. And who knows,

Ah the joys of being an 11 year old with the internet. I remember playing the Japanese version of Pokemon in an emulator, and learning about Mew before the game was even released outside of Japan. It was weird though, because I remember how into Pokemon I was when it first came out, and how no one at school believed

At least as far as I'm concerned, years of watching anime has completely broken any association I might have had between cartoons and childishness. In fact, to me it seems like people who dismiss things for being bright and colorful are the childish ones. Or at least ignorant.

I sort of just assumed that when you have the technology to replicate anything, repairs aren't that much of an issue. They did show in the year of hell episodes at least that when they were forced to conserve energy, the state of the ship did suffer as a result. Maybe it's a stretch to believe that they were able to

I'll give you that Voyager had more than it's share of flaws. The episode "Threshold" alone was enough to make many people hate the show. But then you have classic episodes like "The Thaw" which really stand out as textbook examples of what makes Star Trek so good in the first place.

If you think that's bad, just think about what it takes for a fan translation to get done. They don't even have access to the original source code of the game, so they have to do everything by hacking. This often involves tasks such as reverse engineering file formats, figuring out proprietary compression/encryption

The art direction in Windwaker doesn't agree with me either. But unlike most of the comments in the article, I don't hate Windwaker's art direction because it looks like a cartoon. I hate it because it the character designs are some of the ugliest I've ever seen. The oval shaped faces, the comically gigantic eyes, the

I like Voyager more than Deep Space Nine. Actually, Voyager is my second favorite Star Trek, right after TNG. I like Voyager because it brought Star Trek back to it's roots of being about exploration and adventure. It was pretty much the polar opposite of Deep Space Nine, whose entire plot was entrenched in a single

He must be going off this list:

That picture you posted made me realize something. A new Parappa game where you actually rapped using the Kinect's microphone would be like the best possible thing you could do to get people to actually like the Kinect. To bad there's a 0% chance of that actually happening.

Okay, well I guess in some cases video games actually can inspire criminal activity... if the person playing them is a complete idiot. Then again, at least he didn't kill anyone.

A lot of people seem to think violent games are what causes people to decide to commit atrocities like shooting up a kindergarten, but you know what I think? I think this is what happens is that when you have a society that allows people to so easily become socially isolated (thanks, internet), that people with

You know, it's really sad but true, that we live in a world where one of the biggest barriers to getting quality health care is the incompetence of the people working in the medical industry. I'm not going to go into details here (although I will say at least in this case it wasn't a matter of live and death), but I

I don't think that's a very good analogy. In my experience, it's extremely rare for me to not like a game, and yet like it's sequel. It happens (I liked Rayman 2, but didn't really care for the original), but it's rare. For what it's worth, while I haven't played a GTA game in a while, I did play Red Dead Redemption,

I haven't played a GTA game since 3, and to be honest, I never really cared for the game that much. The story didn't interest me, the gameplay was stale and unimaginative, and the controls weren't too great either. Since then I've just sort of sat baffled at the sidelines while a game series I have such a low opinion

Well, I guess you gotta come up with something to do while you try to overcome your fear of opening the door to the next room...

I think the reason there are so few reviews in the non-yes category is that Kotaku's reviewers are to a certain extent cherry picking games to review. If you limit the scope of what you review to games that you want to review, you are probably going to end up recommending most of them.

That's okay, it hates you too.

You know Skies of Arcadia may not have sold particularly well, but it sure has a loyal following. When you look at how hyped up Earthbound was getting around here recently, it's sort of doesn't seem right that Skies of Arcadia isn't getting a little attention too. The two games actually have a lot in common. Both
